Excellent General Book
Indoor Plants by Jane Courtier & Graham Clarke is as would you expect from a Reader's Digest book - an excellent general reference on indoor plants. Information is provided in a thouroughly accessible, attractive and informative manner. The many illustrations are a combination of drawings and photographs and they are clear, detailed and useful. No, this is not a text book on indoor botany and it certainly does not pretend to be. It does an excellent job of providing lots of general useful information. The selected plants are not comprehensive, but there are many idoiosyncratic plants that one would never expect to see in a book like this. They make for very pleasent surprises. Well worth the price.

Awesme indoor plant book
I purchased a hard cover indoor plant book from the Reader's Digest series and was impressed with the great condition it was in and a very thorough plant book. I see where the publish date was 1997 and I wondered if it was current enough information. But I would guess that plant care is pretty standard.

Indoor Plants: The Essential Guide to Choosing and Caring for Houseplants
This is a lovely book, and just what I needed to learn about the various houseplants that I presently have. I like the page numbers found near the top of each page, the lovely colored pictures of the plants together with clear explanations of how to care for the plants. Also how to cope with pests and diseases; tips on buying new indoor plants and their containers, and how to plant your new acquisitions. I love this book.

Growing Easier
This is a very nice book--lists a lot of plants and tells you about them. It's not probably for a really experienced houseplant-gardener, but I really like it because it makes it easy for me to find my mystery plants. You can page through it and suddenly, there it is, a nice photo of your plant along with information.I'd actually consider giving this as a gift along with a plant, for someone's birthday. . . .
