Seaguar Gold Label Fresh & Saltwater Fishing Leader Line for Clear Water, 100% Fluorocarbon, Clear, Multiple Sizes

I am a complete fan of this product. For where and what I fish for it suits my needs. I feel it’s worth the investment. Knots are not an issue, it’s durable and functions well.

I like that the diameter of the line is very small, the lines color is unique as it is in the water and i like how it almost disappears. I dislike that the stretch is more than most comparable products. But it has great strength and can take a beating. I like that it's easier to tie than most comparable products as well. I dislike how little line is on the spool. Overall I would use the product again.

Lines is excellent, the only problem is the outrageous price

Good quality.

Purchased and used this leader in 4, 6, and 8lb test for trout fishing of various sizes in lakes and rivers/streams. It is very supple and knot strength feels solid. I use an Alberto at the leader connection point and a palomar at the hook. At first was constantly breaking off at the hook during hook sets. Loosened my drag quite a bit and now don’t have that problem but do loose some hook setting power and it does pull some drag when I have to set harder than usual.The reason I suspect it’s a little generous with test rating is due to the issue of break offs. I’ve used plenty of other leaders that are rated the same but do not break as easily. Ive tried various knots… uni, loop, San Diego jam (which takes me like an hour) and finally landed on Palomar being the most reliable. I do like gold label due to its suppleness so I’m willing to accept the trade off. I’d just recommend going up to the next test rating. The 6 lb test is still thinner than just about every other 4 lb leader I’ve used anyway.

Great line

Having been fishing since the age of 5, I'm pretty much a professional fisherman....only I don't fish for a living.... just for fun. But I can tell you that Seaguar is one of the best flurocarbon lines that you can buy, and this Gold version has one of the thinner diameters per pound test of any of Seaguar's lines.I use this line as a end leader line for "midging" for trout, where a main line is attached to your fly line and on the other end the main line is your leader line where your flies are presented. Obviously, I try to use the best line available on the presentation end, and for that I've chosen Seaguar Gold. I can highly recommend this line for your fishing needs.

Tried blue label first and had difficulty cinching knots down, gold is significantly more thin than blue label and made tying knots on my leaders trivial. Great product. Has produced more strikes.

It seems strong and is almost invisible in the water. So far so good, but no big pike have tested it yet.
