Easy to attach, works well
This fender attaches using a quickly releasable mechanism that I found very easy to use, and it does a good job of covering the back tire of my road bike to avoid splashed-up water on my backside when the pavement is wet or slushy. It's designed for 26-in. wheels but seems to work fine on my 700c bike that I'm using at the moment. (Obviously most 26-in. tires are wider, and so this fender is, too, but the shorter *length* that I assume this has doesn't seem to negatively impact its effectiveness at all.)It took me a bit of time to figure out how to connect it, however, since it included only small pictures for instructions and no text. What they mean is that the little strip of fabric (coated on the inside with a non-slip grip surface) is supposed to go in one of the slits on the side, then out the other slit on the same side. You can adjust the tightness (which you will need to do according to how big the tube that you're attaching this to is) by adjusting how much of the strip you put on each side of the slits. Finally, to attach, you bring the clasp-y thing over to the other side, wrapping around the front of the tube (i.e., the side opposite the fender), and insert it into the receptacle, using some force to help it slide in.If you live in a high-theft area, be warned--it's even easier to remove than it is to put on. I see some people suggest adding a hose clamp to make it harder or drilling a small hole (for a small cable lock, maybe?) in an area where a hole won't matter, but it's probably just as easy to take with you when you park if you need to.

Great product with even better customer service
Really great fender, but was even more impressed by customer service. Accidentally lost a small part of the fender when I took it apart, so I called the attached number. Someone picked up in one ring, and mailed me a replacement part free of charge! The real deal.

Easy install. Good coverage.
This fender was an easy install, and will keep most of the grime off of the back of the rider. It will require the occasional tightening, as the locking mechanism does seem to slip over time. I do wish the fender was longer or came in a longer size as it does not catch everything coming off of the tire, just most of it.

Does not hold its position
Pros:* This fender arrived quickly without any issues. As stated, Prime did its thing!* Installation was simple on my bike. Adjust the strap so the ratcheting mechanism holds solid.* Effective against wheel spray on my back. I have gone through a few storms while commuting, and it has effectively stopped my rear-end from getting soaked.Con:* Does not hold its position. I have tightened the screw, to the point that I'm cautious about stripping the threads, and the fender will droop when obstacles are encountered. The bike this is installed on is my commuter bike, a 26" hardtail. At the end of each day, I either go down three stairs or a foot drop (depending on my route), which leads to the fender drooping to its lowest position, rubbing on the rear tire. Wish there was some kind of teeth to prevent. I may try throwing a rubber washer to create friction.

durable / works
I have used these for years. It keeps the spray off my butt and clips on easily.

Very Good Quality
Awesome device. Tired of getting to class and sitting on wet pants during rainy days, I bought this. Installation was a breeze, and the fender is nice and wide. The adjustment mechanism is a ratcheting pivot type assembly. Make sure to tighten the allen bolt to keep your fender where you want it! Otherwise it will droop down and touch your tire. The fender clasps onto the seat post with a velcro type adjustment (very nice and easy to take on and off quickly).I have no doubts that this will help keep my back dry, but I'll follow up to confirm next time there is rain. After many rainy rides, this is an excellent purchase! Keeps the mud and water off my back (evidenced by the amount of stuff on the underside of the fender).

must have item
I don't ride my bike in the rain on the road, but do ride my mountain bike in muddy trails or rocky/dusty tracks and the few times I took it out so far it has kept me from having a dirt line on my back !that with the front fender combination, both of which snap on/off very easily so you can take them when needed, are a good combo. For the price it's a great item to have, and have limited choices on full suspension MT bike.I have no idea what 'TrlRunR' is talking about - the strap has little rubber feet as part of the orange web and is very tight on the seat tube. I jump by dirt bike and the thing is solid in place (can't twist it with my hand, unless the bolt on type I checked on a friend's bike).Looks good on the bike and takes second to take on/off if you don't need it. Not good if you leave your bike out but you can rig something like other reviewer mentioned in that case.Ideally the fender would cover more in the front of the tire... the support arm is rather thin there.... still get debries thrown at the rear suspension shock. I guess specialized has a small mud guard for some of their bike that mounts on the frame near the tire for that reason that I may need to try next.
