Awesome, well-priced projector screen!
Did a lot of research on projector screens as we looked at getting rid of our TV in the living room and replace it with a projector system. Our living room gets a lot of light from windows and a door that leads out to our deck, so we decided to place the projector screen in front of that set of doors and windows to block out light while watching TV. When the screen is up, it's hidden by curtains. This screen has been great for that use! We simply have it automatically come down and it blocks out pretty much all of the light from behind, allowing for a pretty decent picture during the day from our Epson 2150 projector. At night things are even better, of course. Our screen arrived in excellent condition - we don't see any waves anywhere or curling at the edges. The motor is not the most silent thing in the world, but it's quiet enough to not wake anyone up at night when lowering or raising the screen. It's not the fastest at raising or lowering the screen, but it certainly doesn't take more time than it would for the projector to warm itself up and get a picture out. The remote is basic but it works, although there are times when it has a clear line of sight to the IR receiver and doesn't respond. For backup, we did install the wall switch included in the package by simply taping it onto the wall with Command strips. You can change the drop distance on this screen - from the factory, it's set to drop the maximum it can, which was quite a lot more than we had expected. You just have to find an Allen key that fits (5/32") into a couple of adjustment switches on the left side of the screen (looking from the front). Instructions are available online, or by e-mailing or calling Elite Screens. They said we would have to remove a sticker to access the switches, but I did not have to. Just a few turns of the adjustment switch had it exactly where we needed it.Installation was pretty easy for the most part, aside from some user error. We mounted ours directly on the wall, and the screen itself comes out very close to flush with the wall, so we had to tack on a couple of 2x4s behind the mounting points to prop the screen out of the wall a bit more, or it would have hit the trim on the door on the way down each time. I do wish they had provided exact measurements for the distance between the mounting holes with the instructions, but that's easy enough to measure. I was worried that the method for mounting to the wall would not be very secure, but it's firmly in and not moving at all.Overall, this is a great entry-level screen. I'm sure there are many others out there that are better but I'm also sure they cost a lot more. For our use and our first foray into home theaters, this is perfect and we're very happy with it!

Great screen for a Great price. Happy so far
*BEST PART ABOUT THIS SCREEN IS THE IR REMOTE SENSOR AND ELITE PLEASE DON'T EVERY SWITCH TO RF ONLY". that was the #1 reason I went with this screen, the others are RF and you cant incorporate them into your smart home or universal remote system. the sensor is also in the front of the case so I did NOT need to reuse the IR extender I had on my old screen (sensor was on the up/down box which was hidden in the drop ceiling) Thank you for that.I bought the Elite Spectrum 100" motorized screen to replace my Accuscreen that lasted me almost 10 years (the limit switch went and the screen would continue into the case). This screen so far is very compare-able to my old screen. The only difference was that the motor is much louder than my old screen BUT the speed is way faster. I have no problem with the sound it makes personally, but some might find it loud. Its not loud enough to hear it upstairs so that is all that matters to me (wife is light sleeper). The quality of the actual screen is pretty much on par with my old screen. The edges do curl, its not a defect, that's the part where "you get what you pay for". if that bothers you, better get ready to spend over $500 for a better screen. I have no problems with it while actually using the projector. My old screen was about the same price as this one and also curled slightly. I have mine hanging from the ceiling about half way into the drop ceiling and it looks great. Now, the part you have to be careful. I had about 5" of extra black at the top and that was too much for me. I wanted to raise that a bit so every time I drop the screen it lands perfectly (aka the stop limit). You have to be careful with the drop settings on these things. I read some reviews about contacting the company and so I did that, and got a response within a day with a pdf on how to do it. I miss read the direction and ended up with an extra 1" when it stopped at the top. I didnt want to proceed any further so I got them to call me and Johnny talked me through it. It was the weekend so I had to wait till the next week, but i just used the remote to stop it where i wanted it for the time being. Be patient. in my case i had to turn the top Red colored hex clockwise to reduce the black at the top when its down. Just contact them to help you. because of that, I gave them an extra star. installation was a breeze for me since i already had one up and it was pretty much the exact same size.Pros: good quality, fast speed, barely any smell to get rid of, good customer support, IR remote and sensor built into the case, they give you the tool to adjust the drop limit, the physical up/down box is not necessary which is nice, packaging was great especially all the accessories.cons: motor is pretty loud, but not annoyingly loud. the Ethernet plug for the trigger is on the bottom of the case which makes the clean look kind of difficult (I dont have that option on my projector so I am not using it but terrible location.) should be towards the top so you can hide the wire.
