Great for upgrade to LED
Used this to finally update my under cabinet lighting to LED. It took about 5 minutes to install under my sink. I had an old Seagull/Ambiance track light system that used xenon bulbs with a 150W transformer, and when the transformer blew, I was able to replace the transformer with this and the bulbs with LED festoons. I love that it has a 1W minimum load and was able to take the original wattage of the entire system from 120W down to about 18W for a very affordable price. If you are DIY, make sure you have a screw for mounting and wire connectors (end caps). An enclosure/junction box would also be wise.

Two out of 3 original units failed
I have 3 WAC halogen lights, 2 of the original power supplies failed. The good news is the replacements seem to be improved as one of my replacements is 5 years old and it looks brighter than the originals which even if they did not fail, they flickered and/or were dim from day 1.Really hard to replace these for me since they are ceiling mounted and I cannot remove the light. This is a lesson for the manufacturer to do more testing before product release.

Not producing the wattage for my LED
Ordered using a cross reference as mine (original) no longer available, light set isn't anywhere near as bright as it's sister string. Looking for the right replacement.

Works Well, Replaced an older, burned out cable lighting transformer. and saved money!
Years ago, we purchased a halogen cable lighting system which has served us well for many years. One of the things I did to save on the lighting costs was to change the MR16 50-watt halogen bulbs over to money-saving 5-watt LED bulbs. While this saved on electricity, over time it caused wear on the transformer which was designed to handle much higher wattages. The transformer burned out when one of the LED bulbs burned out, so it needed to be replaced. Of course, the manufacturer for the cable lighting system does not exist anymore, so I had the choice to replace the entire system, or see if I can replace the transformer inside the switch box.I purchased the WAC Lighting EN-1275-R-AR Electronic Transformer, 120V - 12V 75W Max because it matched the 120V input as the old transformer was labeled inside the switch box. The specs for the WAC Lighting EN-1275-R also listed it can handle 5W min -75W Max which is well within the wattages I use for the LED MR16 replacements. After cutting out the old heavy transformer and wiring and soldering the connections into the transformer box, I plugged in the transformer box and connected the cable lighting system. After hitting the power switch, my lighting system worked as it did before! What’s amazing is I was able to replace the transformer myself, and the transformer is much smaller and lighter than the heavier OEM transformer which was inside the cable lighting transformer box.As the instructions state, you should be familiar with installing lighting applications, and should consult a professional if you don’t know how to install a transformer. Because I was familiar with installing smaller electrical applications and had the proper tools, I was able to do this with the WAC Lighting EN-1275-R myself and save a few hundred dollars over purchasing an entirely new cable lighting system.

Works great for under cabinet LEDs. No flickering.
Replaced under cabinet halogen puck lights with Armacost LED puck lights and needed to replace the transformers as well as they couldn't handle the lower wattage. Turns out the old transformers were from this same company! Everything works well. No flickering. Only minuses are the packaging and the wiring all coming out of one end of the transformer. For the packaging, the ends of all the wires were completely frayed inside the box, like they were just jammed in there. And I wish the input wires came out one end and the output wires the other. That's how the old transformers were and made it easier to install inline. Otherwise highly recommended product.

It does work
I bought this unit to replace the original. The wires seemed to be a bit short, having to put it about where the old unit was. To improve this, add an extra inch or two of wire

Works, but output is 8v to 9v NOT 12v
I bought a 60W and a 75W unit for my LED hockey pucs in the kitchen. I bought them because of the size. I noticed that the lights were dimmer than with the existing transformer, so I put a voltmeter on the output leads. My existing transformer is putting out 11v to 12v, but both WAC transformers put out 8v to 9v. You should be wary of this fact when buying these transformers.

WAC Low Voltage 12V transfomer
These Low Voltage transfomers work out great for my 12 Volt lighting that I were in years ago in my basement. I use them with 3ea. 35 watt MR 16 Halagen bulbs per transfomer. I even tested them with 3 ea. 6.5 Watt MR 16 LED bulbs because of their 1 watt minumum and they worked out fine. These transformers used to have higher wattage minumums. I will eventually switch out all my lamps to LED's as they go bad. Hopefully they last for a while.
