Waiting for Baby

This journal is the BEST. I reviewed so many pregnancy journals before purchasing this one and definitely made the right decision. It certainly covers everything, from your own birth and family to that of your baby's. There are plenty of prompts for those who need them, as well as lots of blank (lined) pages for your own independent journaling. There are sections that discuss your physical/emotional health for each trimester, every doctor's appointment, places to put ultrasound photos and pregnancy/belly photos, nursery ideas/photos, baby shower photos and invites...and more! This journal is beautiful, tasteful, and well made. Any sections you may not be interested in (or don't fill up) may be torn out of the journal so as not to leave a bunch of blank, unfinished pages. While some reviewers did not like how this journal is not father-friendly, such did not bother me. It is my personal journal and to be quite honest, my husband is not the journaling type and not interested in recording his feelings!! I highly recommend this journal. I thoroughly enjoy all the quiet time I have spent with it!!! It is very special to me and will one day be passed on to my baby.

I highly recommend this journal. I was surprised how important it was to write while you are pregnant. This journal really helped me sort out my feelings. I bought it on a whim and I was glad that I did. I bought this journal is primarily for myself and maybe less for the baby, although my daughter may one day find it interesting reading, when she is pregnant. I also bought her a thorough baby book, so that is really more for her. This book is about being pregnant, which is often not written about by the mom. Usually we focus on baby more and not our experience of pregnancy. It is worth the money. It provokes you to write, as it is a fun journal. You may find it more fun to write in this than to stare at a blank journal. I highly recommend this book. Buy it right away, if you are pregnant. I really wouldn't wait until your 3rd trimester. It is almost too late by that time! Buy this!

I have two of these and they are just wonderful! I had one with my daughter back in 2007 and liked it so much that I bought another for my son (due 2011). I love the way it's laid out as a guided (but not too much so) journal. It asks just the right amount of questions and gives you enough space to write out any additional information you want to add.My only beef with it was that under the family tree info there is no page for Dad's information! I understand that it is the mother's journal, but the Dad's family info should have a space too. I solved it by simply making a copy of the page for my family before I filled it out and stapled it into the book where it should have been.I have recommended this to quite a few friends over the last few years and will continue to do so as long as it's available.

I bought this for my son and really liked it. When I got pregnant again I decided to try another one so they would be different- however I was not satisfied with the other one, and ended up purchasing this one again. I love that it has a lot of room to keep track of the Dr appointments- I had a high risk pregnancy so it really came in handy to have details of each appointment. I also like that it asked specific questions about each trimester that helps you keep track of each little step of your pregnancy. It has plenty of room for sonogram pictures and a baby shower section. It is very thorough and a great way to keep track of all the memories of your pregnancy.

This book has room for lots of info concerning a womans journey to becoming a mother, but I agree with some of the other reviews that I wish there was room for info about daddy! There is an entire page dedicated to the mothers family tree, but nowhere to put any information about the father...or siblings. Also, I like the fact that it is spiral bound, so that you can tear out any pages that do not apply to you. Overall a good book for the money. It is hard to find a good pregnancy journal and I looked at several before deciding to purchase this one.

I'm certain there is no perfect pregnacy journal, but for my needs and what I've seen, this one is pretty good. My only complaint is that I wish it had more blank pages for journaling. There are 10-12 pages, but I like to write a lot and have to be more limiting with how much I write. I see that other people complain about the verbiage being only directed toward the mom and not the dad. I see NO problem with this because this is just for me. Between me and baby. I often write about my husband in the journal too, so he is included in the book by what I write. The pages are clean and fresh and the photos are great. Lots of room to write about each docotor visit! Overall it's a terrific journal.

Absolutely love this journal! This is my second one as I filled out the same one when I was pregnant with my first. It’s nice to take a few minutes to sit and reflect on each pregnancy and I love the format of this journal. It’s comprehensive but not too laborious.

I really enjoyed the way this book was set up. It allows you to write something just every couple of weeks instead of every single week which for me was just too much. It has a section for your doctor visits and ultrasound images. There are plenty of spots for other photos too. It's true that there's no spot for the dad stuff but I just added it myself. Example where it has a place for my photo as a baby I put both our photos. Where it has my family tree I added an insert with his family tree too.

If you're looking for an extremely detailed log of your pregnancy, this book is perfect. I filled out every page up until my 3rd trimester, but 5 months after labour it is still half empty, as there really is just too much information required in it. It's less of an album and more of a diary/somewhere to write your thoughts and feelings down. There are also limited pages for things such as scans/doctor visits, so some pregnancies may require more space to keep a log.

I absolutely loved this little memory journal. Used it throughout my own pregnancy and also purchased as a gift. My top tip would be to write in it every day if you can as it serves as a lovely reminder of this amazing journey. It has a great layout for recording all your pregnancy notes after midwife appointments which is good.

I'm not that impressed with the layout of this book. It doesn't flow as well as the one I used in my first pregnancy (bump to birthday) .. I feel like I have to go back and forth and because of this, it doesn't encourage me to write regularly!

Great idea used for my pregnancy lots of room for different notes etc and great in concentrates on mum and baby for my situation lovely product!!

nice book, divided into nice sections but is my second pregnancy so some parts are not interesting for me.No spaces for pregnancy tests or more scan pictures.
