Author Shares Years of Experience/Insight in this Book!
Love this book so far. It has lots of great info for future vegan mama’s. Author has years of experience with studying and writing about beganism so that definitely helps!

Highly recommend
I love this book. Even if you aren’t pregnant, it covers the main nutrients to watch when vegan and gives food recommendations.

If you’re already vegan for a while, better to just ask you doctor
It’s an ok book. If you’ve been vegan for years then it’s not really “groundbreaking” information. Good book for sure, but nothing I didn’t know really.

Very informative!
This book gives very good information! It helped me figure out things a bit better as I was totally lost on how to be vegan and be pregnant while getting all the proper nutrients. I highly recommend!

Not what I was expecting. Boring
This is a terrible book. I was expecting a food recommendation and excersises or something different. Ive read the first 30 pages and I still havent learned anything new or that useful.

Not what expected
There is a part where she explains the iron absorption where I feel like she is contradicting herself. Same with the protein sources. Being a vegan for a long time and have read many books about veganism, I found that this book is not really useful for me. Especially that it explains about health provider in US. Why sell the book worldwide?

Not what I was expecting
It's a wonderful book to have if you're new to veganism or a first time vegan parent to be but I was disappointed with how little information there was compared to some other books I've read. Another thing that I disliked was the mainstream information about prenatal care which, instead of simply informing about the various possibilities and choices surrounding testing and birth the author is oblivious to anything that has to do to do with informed consent and mother-led birthing which could mean taking or foregoing any tests after being fully informed about the benefits and the risks but none of that was mentioned. I wouldn't have these kind of expectations if the word holistic wasn't a part of the title but it was definitely not what I was expecting and wasn't completely aligned with my values nor provided new information, I have been vegan for 4 years thought so the book can be a valuable source for someone completely new to veganism or to a vegan pregnancy. The book is beautifully designed and well written.
