I'm sorry I can't answer this question as I have only used it on my Nikon D3100. I leave my camera setting on automatic and I bounce the light onto the subject. I would contact t Wein customer service directly with such a technical question.

Personally i would be asking the speedatron manufacturers this question as i have no idea what the trigger voltage is, the Wein works ok on small hotshoe flashes that were typically made for older film camera flash units where high trigger voltage was much less of a problem , but these days cheap Chinese dedicated flash units work very well on modern digital cameras and the Wein may be slightly obsolete in 2020

I have a Sunpak Auto 36DX Thyristor flash and a 4000AF power zoom flash. I wish to use them with my Nikon D80 and D90. Will this gadget allow that?

It should let you use any older flash unit with todays Digital camera. You wont be able to use any of the cameras through the lens light evaluation abilities, but using this devise will allow the flash to go off without damaging the cameras synchronization contacts.
