AMAZING
I printed new name-desk cards for my 24 students, then I took them to an office supply store to get them laminated with the thicker grade laminating than is available at school. The sales person said it would be almost $3 PER TAG! OMG. I re-thought my decision. I looked at that same office supply store to see it legal sized laminating sheets were even a thing, since I've used a little at-home laminator for 8x10 sheets for years. They didn't have them, so I thought they didn't exist, but AMAZON to the rescue! I found them, ordered them, and my kids' desks look amazing for a bargain price!

Pretty good but pricey
On a per page basis this seems pricey to me. 3M quality so it's pretty good for protecting the manuals I need to showcase to users. Also very clear. I just wish it were cheaper.

Excellent product
We buy these laminating pouches to put various signs in them to put up around our business, inside and outside. We use them with a small laminating machine that is definitely not industrial strength. Handle them carefully when putting paper inside them and then inserting them in the machine and they will work great. Handle them roughly, one or the other or both sides will crinkle and bend and the bend may or may not get pressed out entirely when the pouch goes through the machine. One tip for those who may be using one sheet for several or more small pieces of paper: To keep those small pieces of paper in place you can use a cheap glue stick, the type marketed for school use, to secure the paper in place before closing the pouch. Once the pouch has gone through the machine, the glue will not show or mar the words or pictures on the paper in any way.As for using them on the outside of our building, they last a good year or more before weather starts to deteriorate them. If they are out of reach of rain or snow, they last longer. Inside our building they last for many years barring customers or employees mishandling them, as happens from time to time.Another tip: If you're going to be laminating one small piece of paper such as a photo, there are small sizes available which I'd advise you to look into. I don't believe you can cut an 8-1/2 x 11 laminating sheet down to, say, a 4 x 5 sheet and save the rest of the laminating sheet. I've never dared to use what would be left over if I did cut down an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet before inserting it into the machine and use what's left over later. I'm afraid it wouldn't hold together very well when going through the machine. Although you could try using a glue stick to hold the two pieces of the laminating sheet together. I just haven't dared to try that.

... cost thermal laminator and these pouches do a very good job. However
I had just bought a very low cost thermal laminator and these pouches do a very good job. However, I fully expected they would as they are made by 3M and they always create products that work well. You have to spend a few moments inserting the item into the pouch and an "extra hand" would be useful, but it works well. The finished product "brightens" the item that has been laminated and it provides for a reasonable bit of stiffness which protects the item well. I usually use a 3-hole punch so the item can be put in a binder or tacked cleanly to a wall and the material holds up well for this. I sometimes have used 2 pieces of paper, back to back, for a 2-sided product and this works well also. Note that this is a permanent attachment to the item laminated. It can not be removed without damage to the item
