I think this is weird, but all the kids at my daughter’s high school wear their car key fobs on lanyards around their neck. My daughter got on my amazon account and picked this up herself. I see it around her neck everyday. It’s pretty cute and obviously durable. It doesn’t looked frayed at all.

Lanyard was frayed when we received it. I decided to keep it since it was a present.Then the clasp broke within 30 days and I was unable to return it get the item replaced.
