munchiecat Organic Catnip Buds, USA Grown, Hand Harvested Premium Cat Nip Bud

So, this was delivered in a big box with other items. After putting everything away, I left the box out for my cat to play with. She jumped in, sniffed around, and then looked up at me with those huge eyes she gets after eating/rolling in catnip. Just from the BOX that the sealed package of catnip came in! Needless to say, this is powerful stuff. I like that it doesn't have other ingredients, as my cat had a bad reaction to silvervine. I deducted one star because of the steep price (the bag is tiny). But for intermittent use or as an additive to less pricey catnip, this is great. I'll likely buy it again when the current stuff is gone.

I had high hopes for this product - I love the name Munchiecat and the price was good. I wanted to re-fill my clear plastic Meowjuana jar with it, since that one was nearly empty after more than a year and they don't sell refills. But it wasn't anything like Meowjuana.- not big buds - more like sprigs on twigs of catnip (see photo)- more seeds and shake than anything else- super small amount - not even half a cupI am returning it and just ordered another jar of Meowjuana. That product is much more expensive, however, the value I get out of it is much more:- looks like real weed buds - green, big, and compact- I keep it on my kitchen counter and show it to everyone who comes over - always gets a laughI didn't try out this product on my cat since I'm returning it, however, it did have a very pungent smell, which I imagine a cat would like.

Regardless of its groovy name and USA origin and truly elegant packaging and engaging appearance, this product was surprisingly repulsive to our cats. Maybe a bad batch. Thank you for graciously accepting the return of it. Thank you even more for not going offshore (which incorporates all kinds of harmful chemicals and ionizing radiation). For all of these reasons, this product deserves another chance. We look forward to trying it again next year.

These catnip buds are nice and firm. Very strong smelling and a little goes a long way. The packaging is thick and well sealed. When I first opened the package the smell was very strong. My cats are definitely stoned and happy at the moment. My cat with hyperthyroidism gets catnip everyday. She eats, drinks and is a lot more active when she gets catnip so I keep her supplied.

It looked good to me with the nice buds and since my cat is kind of a catnip addict I figured I would give him the best of the best. Unfortunately he won't touch it, he scratches over it like he's burying something nasty. I gave him some cheaper catnip and he went nuts for it. Definitely disappointed.

These cat nip Buds came intact for the most part and looked fresh. Most of the ones found in stores are in flake format and my cat doesn’t like it that much. These Buds are definitely higher quality than the ones found in stores. Only downside is that you don’t have it right when you need it for those times when your cat needs a “fix”. Just remember to stock up in advance.

I haven’t eaten this myself, but my cats really seem to enjoy this. You can watch their eyes glaze over and one turns into a fat pile of mush. The other one turns into a homicidal killer... she’s obviously an angry drunk. But it is a product they look forward to indulging in from time to time.
