The ONLY umbrella to use at the beach.
We've been going to Nantucket Island in MA for decades and the ONLY umbrella that will withstand the wind on a sandy beach is one with a wooden pole and commercial (canvas) material. We had one for years but my husband left it behind one day last summer and when we went back, it was gone. We went to the only place that rents beach umbrellas and there were none of these types left so we ended up with a nylon material one on an aluminum pole. It was useless and cost us the same ($20/day) as another reviewer noted. You need the canvas-nylon doesn't give you even adequate shade and you need at least a 7 and 1/2 foot size one or you will end up huddled underneath with no more than 2 other people inches away. They are not cheap but this one is the least expensive by far and Frankfort is known to sell quality beach umbrellas And unless your spouse leaves it on the beach, you'll have it of years. Don't bother with the long (16-24") anchors sold on here starting at $20. CVS sells them for about $5. They are shorter (a foot? maybe less?) but they do the trick. The only beach umbrella that we ever see take off and fly down the beach are the nylon type with a metal pole. Update-I DID buy this umbrella on here. Don't understand why it's not listed as being a verified purchase-"You purchased this item on May 29, 2015.Size: 7.5 ft - Without Storage Bag | Color: Forest Green" but in any case, it's still going strong and I expect it will for many more years.

Rust problem.
The product is a nice sturdy umbrella. We didn’t have umbrella’s ( bought 2) more then 3 weeks when all the metal on insides rusted. Wouldn’t recommend. I mean you can use it but that shouldn’t happen.
