Awesome tweeters for the money
For the cost, these are simply an awesome buy. I placed them in a newer F-150 that came with a stock sound system (which is pure garbage...all Chinese paper cone crap). I've ended up replacing/upgrading everything except the head unit which is touchy for the new F-150s due to the harness. Anyway, the tweeters in the A-Pillars were the last component and these got decent if not great reviews. For just over $50 though they looked to me like the right product at the right price intersection. Glad I bought them. Along with the rest of my system, I can now push the fade back toward the rear of the truck, crank the volume to allow the amp to drive some power into the speakers, dsp and sub, and the tweeters and center speaker are able to fill in the vocals very well with nice clarity and not-too-harsh highs. The crossovers allow for 0, -2 or -4db operation which provide some nice options depending on the system. I could've gone with the higher priced, higher rated and assuredly better sounding T1T-S tweeters, but they are 3 - 4 times the price. These are fine. Maybe someday I can justify the audiophile solution, but not today.

These little guys do require modification to standard door trim (for my vehicle, at least). I made quick work of the previous tweeter screen with a dremel and smoothed out the edges. Once that was done the included brackets fit in and the speaker popped right in those and the face plate snapped on top of that.A word of caution though, when you're trying to snap the face plate on the speaker be very careful as not to apply pressure to the speaker grill. Mine caved in, luckily I was able to use a little hook to pull the grate back out and the speaker's cone didn't get damaged in the process.Lots of cable is included so you don't need to worry about how close the existing wiring is to the speakers. And the included crossover works just as advertised. I ended up using the 0 decibel fitting for my vehicle. At the end of the day I purchased these to replace my stock tweeters that had blown out due to the more powerful head unit and for the better sound quality - they've filled both those needs so I'm happy.

Installed in a 2013 Ford F-150XLT adds some very tingy highs...
I replaced my factory A Pillar tweeters with this tweeter kit. After some easy mods it provides a decent upgrade to the factory ones.I read in an earlier review that these were more or less "plug and play"..that is not necessarily the case. The tweeter is too big to wedge into the factory hole, so you have to figure out how you want to mod it. Some people "bored" out the opening so they fit, I didn't want to alter the trim, so I made a bracket out of a cardboard piece from the box (I fastened a small piece of cardboard with the bracket screws from the factory bracket against the back of the speaker in the pillar). That worked like a charm and should keep it snug against the plastic.I tested the crossover db settings and I agree with the folks who set the db at -4db, this adds plenty of highs to the music. The other options are -2db and 0db.The kit comes with 2 pairs of leads that have bare wire on one end and female leads on the other (for factory wire and crossover) and 2 pairs of leads with female to male ends (for extending the speaker wire to the output on the crossover). These are great and a must have, at least in my vehicle. All said and done a little over an hour to install these for me. Some stupid bumps in the road like the pillar trim snap in piece getting stuck added to the time as well as figuring out what I was going to do about the bracket, but thats how it goes when you save some money...very happy

Woke Up My Entire Sound System
Wow, did these wake up my system!! I installed a full Rockford-Fosgate Punch amp/sub/speaker system and it sounded great. Only issue was the placement of the front stock speaker location....in the lower corner of the door panel. (2007 Monte Carlo SS) The system sounds great, but need a little extra to get the music off the floor. I installed these tweeters on the top of my dash, out by the windshield in the left and right corners. The driver side is on -2dB and the passenger side is at 0 dB. This did what they call "raise the floor" of the music. It sounds so much fuller, brighter and more enveloping. I actually had to adjust the head unit's equalizer flatter. But, wow, what an improvement to an already fabulous system. You will not be disappointed with these.

Good for the price
Bought these to replace a pair of Kicker tweeters that I got for $50 about 2 years ago. These were $10 more so I was really curious if they would be a better replacement.I installed one on the right side and left the Kicker tweeter on the left side to compare. Played some rap, rock and acoustical music and my attention kept turning towards the the Fosgate tweeter. It sounded more natural and clearer. Took the Kicker tweeter out and put the Fosgate tweeter in and was satisfied with the sound quality. I highly recommend these if you want something that sounds natural and clear. I used the -4db input on the crossover if anybody wants to know.

More sizzle for your buck
I was originally using some cheap tweeters in my system that cost literally 10 bucks and they recently blew. I had to purchase a new set and decided that it was time to upgrade. These bad boys are so loud that they will literally make your ears bleed. Sometimes it can be too much. I had to make drastic changes in my EQ settings and turn up my mid level amp to make it sound even. Everything sounds great now.. At times while listening to female vocalists it can get so over bearing.. it could just be where I have them mounted (on my pillars by the windshield). Over all these are a great buy and with them being on sale I would recommend them to anyone that is wanting to upgrade.
