It is as advertised
I lost my voice for awhile and needed to be heard at work. I was a great value.

First one broke, bought again
Very loud, easy to use! This is my second purchase bc my first purchase of this speaker refused to charge after a few months. But I like it so I bought again because the sound is clear and loud. I work in a very noisy train plant as a machinist. I use this speaker to listen to audiobooks. Even with all the noise on the machine shop floor, even with ear protectors on, even on very busy days, even from far away, I can still hear my books clearly. Much better than any portable speaker I've tried. I love the clip on the back of the speaker too. I clip it to the front lip of my raw materials shelf and it stays secure even when the whole shelf is vibrating violently (I use a pneumatic drill at work). I also love how easy it is to use: plug in a male-male audio cable from speaker to device, then turn volume up. That's all there is to it. Holds a charge for days if I remember to turn it off at lunch. Charges quickly (abt two hrs). If I forget to charge before work, it will still work while connected to wall charger. So I can listen to my books and be charging at the same time. Hope this one lasts.

4and1/2stars
I purchased this amplifier, for me to wear. My husband is only 65, but hearing impaired runs in the family. With hearing aids, which are actually powered by tiny computers, are not enough for him to hear me well,as his ears are getting worse. To save his dignity and my having to shout, I thought it would be a marvelous idea. It has been a life saver!! What I'm having problem with is the strap--it is deteriorating where it hooks on, and the mouth pieice is loosening from the joint. it is not staying in place, drooping. I have to keep pushing it up. Here is my suggestion, may you replace the strap and the piece that hooks together---only give me a longer one? I'm a professional seamstress and I can tailor it to my exact need.and please replace the headset. it is a dream--very light and fits perfect. I have had to wear headsets in the past, they were so heavy. Not this one. I am so very happy with my vioce amplifier except for these few minor but important cosmetic features. It has restored peace and we can talk so easily!! Our friends tease us , but I would wear it 24/7 for my sweetheart--he appreciates it so much. We both thank you together, for such a lovely product.

Excellent quality, works well, and great customer service
This is a great speaker. The headset cable is higher quality than standard. I have been unable to find this quality elsewhere and as such have stuck with these guys. I purchased one and liked it enough that I purchased a second. My friend who has a similar speaker (and had his headset break) liked the quality of this, and asked me who made it and ended up getting two of these headsets. It comes with an integrated clip and an adjustable length neck strap. I've used the neck strap which works well. The batteries are rechargeable and easily last several hours of talking (on max volume) without a problem. I assume it would go a lot longer, but that is the time periods that I use them. The unit is very easy to charge - just plug it into the the power transformer that comes with it.The sound is quite loud depending on what you are needing it for. Outside, as long as there isn't much other noise, I believe this reaches 50'-80' fairly comfortably. That is talking a little loud and having the mic right on my mouth. Inside, it sounds very loud. Overall the power is very reasonable, and while a little more would be nice at times, this has worked well.Their customer service is exceptional: if you have a problem with your order, have NO doubt that it will be taken care of properly. I have worked with very, very few companies like this.

Well worth the money
It seems well made and it works fine but I had a feedback problem that may have been primarily because of the microphone I used. I have only used it once when giving a presentation in an isolated area of a noisy restaurant where I was close to walls. I couldn't turn the volume all the way up or the feedback screech was overpowering. Possibly if I had been outdoors that wouldn't have happened. Also, I thought the headset microphone that comes with it looked cheesy so I used a Sony lapel microphone. That may have contributed to the feedback issue because it's a very sensitive microphone, but I did look more professional. Bottom line, this inexpensive little amplifier worked fine with the volume turned somewhere in the middle and I have recommended it to friends.

NOT 20 Watts!!! A Cheap Copy and Poorly Made!
First, off this model is no where near 20 Watts as claimed. The manufacturer should not be able to make such claims. I compared it to other popular brand of Voice Amplifiers and it was no louder than the 12 watt model and more like 10watts. I made the comparison side by side so it was obvious. The clarity was not as good as the other brands. Furthermore, there was a buzzing rattling sound from the speaker while I talked. It was like something was loose inside and vibrating with the sound. The included microphone has a nylon cable, like a super thin shoelace, instead of rubber coated which gave it a cheap feeling. When I adjusted the headset microphone boom it creaked like something was cracking inside. This made me wonder how long it will last.I tried the included patch cable with my iPod to play music and there was a short in either the cable or the port on the amplifier. The result was that it cut in an out. I tried one of my own cables and it was a little better. The manual was not very good. There were no product diagrams and the manual was not well organized. I am engineer so I prefer a good diagram.I was curious if there was more information online so I visited the website listed in the manual. The website was for a few baby toys and there was absolutely no information for this product. It did not exist. I thought first that I went to the wrong website so I triple checked it. Why list a website if there is nothing there? That does not give me any confidence that this is a legitimate product or company standing behind hit.Bottom Line: This is cheap made copy making false wattage claims which damages any credibility that the company that supplied it may have. You get what you pay for so I recommend picking a more reliable brand.
