Telescoping Extension Pole w/ Tripod Mount for GoPro Hero Cameras 9-37"

I purchased the pole to take to Kauai for a 7 day trip. It's light weight and was able to hold my go pro with no problem. The issue that I came across was that I left it outdoors overnight once and the humidity made it very hard to extend/put back. I know this item does not do well in salt water but in my case it didn't do well in a humid environment. I would suggest to go with a "waterproof" version of this even though you might not be planning on using it around water to avoid issues in a humid environment.

So...here's my experience with this product/company.The first unit I received was defective, leaving me very frustrated needing a working pole quickly before an upcoming vacation.I contacted the company and they immediately resolved the problem. I'm grateful for (and impressed with) their quick response.I ended up with the "Black Pole", which is undoubtedly a stronger and more durable product. I can't say much about this, the silver unit, because the one I got was an anomaly, a defective unit.

Feels cheap. Extends a good distance but the mounting point has no adjustment and moves fairly easily. I bought this for holding out of a car window while offroading or for filming cars/bikes. I wouldn't trust it or that but walking around it works just fine.

The way the tri pod is mounted to the pole is it's shoved in there. That's it. So as I pull the extension which requires lots of force, the whole tri-pod mounted to my go pro came off! This was only it's 2nd use! It should be screwed on or something not just popped in there. This caused it to be very loose and the camera would spin freely on the pole which really sucked. I would not recommend this pole.

This Telescoping Extension Pole is great for my GoPro Hero 3+ Black camera. Comes with Tripod mount. Nice for taking pictures of yourself getting in on the action. Nice for taking videos above everyone's heads or for getting closer to the action without you getting closer to the action. Easy to extend and make small again. Seems very sturdy. Would buy again if the need arises.

worked great for vacation last year ... when I pulled it out the following year ... it was so corroded it wouldn't extend. Had to go out and buy a better replacement for the trip this year.

So far this looks like a perfect fit for my needs. It will fit in a 1150 Pelican case just barely. Is very compact when not extended and provides a lot of reach when extended. Not too heavy. I think a great starter or mid level accessory for the GoPro.
