Shake things up!
Charlotte’s best friend is moving out, and now the house feels empty. And so does her life. She’s in a rut. So, when she finds this series of podcasts named ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, she is determined to get more out of life. What I really liked about Charlotte is that she could be any one of us. She wasn’t this super-thin super-unreal super-woman, but just a relatable person with recognizable problems. It was never TOO bad, which was how I liked it. Just a broadening of her horizon. Spreading her wings. Pushing her boundaries. Flirting. Not saying no to everything. Small steps. And that started out with innocent things like calling a guy after asking his phone number. Later on, it gets a bit less innocent…It says laugh-out-loud and yes, it was filled with humour, but no, I never laughed out loud. But I really enjoyed it. It was entertaining, easy-to-read, with a good flow, and I loved it! And it was surprising! Romantic comedies can be predictable, but this one definitely wasn’t!Heat level 4 quite steamyBTW I loved the little references to Gemma from ‘The Truth About Gemma Grey’.

The perfect laugh out loud romantic comedy??????
I'm 8 chapters (25%) in and there's been no romance and no comedy. Why should I keep reading? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?I know the Brits have a drier sense of humor but I adore British comedy. This isn't it. Plodding on a bit longer but not much.****************So I did finish the book. It's not a romance. Romance has very specific rules and I don't say that to be a nudge. It's just true. This is not a romance so call it what it is so people like me - who know what a romance is - don't waste their money. And there was nothing funny about the story. Even if I'm generous with the one liners, they weren't funny. At best it's women's fiction. I still wouldn't call it a comedy.Charlotte is a mediocre character. She's most of the cliche's wrapped into a sarcastic package. I don't really mind the sarcasm; I do mind the cliches. The style of the narrative is pretty good - it flows easily though the author likes to go off on tangents about whatever noun was in the last paragraph so be prepared for that. I know too much about characters I care nothing about because they weren't a real part of the story. There are so many men it's a bit ludicrous. None of them play a very important role until the end when, like Russian Roulette, one is tagged the "hero." Romance is about the relationship between the two characters and we got very little of that, even if you read back between the lines once you know who is going to be tagged the hero. The ending is decent (again, not a romance) but a fairly straight shot from the start of the book. Several threads were left hanging so I don't know if she plans to pick it up in a sequel. This may be why we got so much back story and side story about characters we didn't see a whole lot.

Fun and Exciting!
This was such a fun book! It took me a bit to actually get into, but I ended up really enjoying it. It was very British which was fun. The setting of a hedge fund was quite interesting. The romance kept me guessing for a while longer than I thought it would. I liked the different plot lines that Sorry Not Sorry had going: Charlotte's dating life, Maddy's wedding, hedge fund drama, etc. Charlotte was a great main character - interesting, funny, and easy to empathize with. I really liked her, and wouldn't mind reading more about her. Good ending to the story! I think that this book really gave me a glimpse into what it's like to work at a hedge fund as a twenty something, and deal with dating life, and friends moving into different stages of life. It was quite interesting, and I will definitely be picking up more from Sophie Ranald in the future! 4 stars.

Not Sorry
If you read my reviews you already know that I read a lot and only write if I feel strongly about a book, either good or bad. I will say that I am not very fond of British books in general - they use common words only those from England would know and it is sometimes difficult to follow the story. I picked Sorry Not Sorry just from the description of a perfect laugh out loud romantic comedy. It is not. But....it IS a very good read about everyday life for a single semi-professional young woman, with all the struggles that come with relationships, both personal and professional. With some hiccups along the way, things work out the way they should. A little predictable, but a really good read.

Soooooo slowwwww!!!!
I don’t think I can finish this book. It’s taking forever to get no where! I keep skipping bc it’s just a bunch of filler detail stuff that does nothing for the story. I’m on chapter 10 and I still don’t know who the romance is supposed to be between. So far she has a job where she gets walked all over but seems to love it, has a best friend who is now moving to next stage of life and marrying leaving her to have to have new roommates, she had a one bad date with sex that sucked so basically swore herself off guys, her best friend is turning into a rush snob and hurting her feelings but she feels guilty instead, and she’s playing hard to get bc a pod cast tells her to. Chapter 10 and I still am not sure if she’s met the guy that is supposed to be her romantic partner or not. The sexting they may or may not be doing is not written into the story. There’s no burn….. I’m going to put it down for a few days and then attempt again….

Such an wonderful, engaging, easy to read book
This was such a cute, light-hearted, easy read and I loved it.The pacing was very quick moving and kept the book interesting and meant it was very easy to read and work my way through.Charlotte was such a strong and relatable character and I loved that she wanted to get out of her life rut and try new things. I also loved the fact that she was from Newcastle and had moved to London to get her career going. In fact, I just adored the fact that this book was set in the UK altogether. The majority of the other characters in this book were amazing and oh so likeable. There were, of course, a couple of bad apples (Myles and Bianca), but there would be no drama without the bad apples. I absolutely hated Bianca and would have loved for her to truly get her comeuppance, but maybe I have that to look forward to in one of the spin off books. The premise of the book was great and nicely unique and I enjoyed the fact that the drama in the book wasn't the typical sort that could have been easily avoided if the characters had just communicated better. This book pulled me out of a month long slump and while it was my first Sophie Ranald book, it certainly won't be my last.

Hilarious and Engaging Beach Read
A hilarious, feel-good comedy, perfect to read over a few days at the beach. This book has fun and relatable characters. The setting, characters, and storyline feel realistic. The story has different plot lines that keep you wanting to turn the pages. Pretty much any girl in her 20’s (or 20’s at heart) would have fun reading this book! I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Didn't laugh out loud
Well written characters, but plot was far too predictable and though I read the whole thing, I didn't find it funny at all, never mind laugh out loud. Ok as an "under the beach umbrella" read.

A fun romantic comedy
Sorry, Not Sorry is a fun, entertaining novel and an easy read, perfect for a lazy day on the beach or after a long day at work. If follows the story of Charlotte, a bored twenty-seven year old woman struggling to find love. When she listens to the podcast “Sorry Not Sorry,” which encourages women to find their inner bad girl and jump into the dating game, Charlotte takes the challenge and stumbles into a comedy of errors. There are laugh-out-loud moments, cringe-worthy moments, and fun surprise moments. The writing is easy to follow and the pace is comfortable for a late night read with a cuppa. Charlotte is a well-developed and relatable character as she struggles through love’s highs and lows. She fumbles around in the dating game, mostly making a fool out of herself, but learns from her experiences and earns self-respect. And of course, the person she ends up with is the last person she expects. This isn’t a fast-paced narrative, but the writing style (told from Charlotte’s perspective) is often dead-pan and witty, and is extremely gratifying. The supporting characters are developed well and are believable—we all have a friend or a boss like Charlotte’s.Overall, this is an enjoyable chick-lit rom-com. It won’t change your life, but it’s a must-read for anyone who loves romance and humour.
