NcStar Offset Mount for 1-Inch Flashlight/Laser

I received this just now. I have not mounted it but I don't see where I will have any problems at all, with one exception. When I got it I promptly began taking out the set screws and unscrewed the mounting screw to check the product. The section of the mount which comes off when you remove the mounting screw seems to be of a less dense metal than the rest of the mount. The rings are strong and hard cast aluminum it seems. The screw holes must have been drilled and tapped later because mine still has some burrs on the inside of the mount. The set screws for at least one of the screws did not seem to be threaded exactly as needed for the tapped holes on the mount. I got them to go in and out without stripping the mount so I don't think it will be a problem. All in all I am pleased with the product, but I can't give it five stars at this point due to not having placed it on the rifle.

I have this mount on my LE6930 and Hi Point 995TS and it is my favorite mount. Great price point, very sturdy and dependable. Have over 2000 rounds thru my AR with this mount and it has never loosened or rattled. I have a Surefire GPX tactical mounted to it and the offset allows for easy operation from the forward grip. With this mount you do not need a pressure switch. Keep your light system simple and light and with this mount it is easy to accomplish. Buy this mount and it will be reliable thru good times and bad. Love it. Make sure to tighten down with a screwdriver and it is fine, do not just finger tighten this mount as it will loosen up after a few shots.

I never understood how stuff that would not cause a catastrophic failure can be as expensive as some of these name brands charge. Why would I want to pay $30 or more for a name brand one when I get this that works the exact same for MUCH less? The only difficult thing for me was finding a flashlight that fit because there is not any room for adjustment. I ghetto rigged the flashlight I have by putting a piece of rubber inner tube wrapped around the light to make it tight. Actually not too bad because that way it will keep the light from getting scratched up if it twists in the mount.

Well for the price I am happy. Shipping was bit more than I thought it should be, but that is not the products fault. They look and feel well made. Unfortunately some of my flashlights did not fit within the limit of the screws. I would have like for them to be just a bit longer. This could be fixed by a trip to Home Depot though. I have a few flashlights on order now that I hope will fit. You never know until you try to attach them. Besides that the mount itself is good to go and I would not hesitate to buy some more if needed.

Mounted a Streamlight Polytac LED to the front left rail of my S&W AR and lined it up perfectly so that my thumb can move just off my MOE vertical grip to touch the button for flash-on or press it for full-on function. It really is a great fit and a solid mount, and it puts the light in a perfect place for my thumb's quick and easy access. No wasted time at all... light on in milliseconds.The mount is solid and it holds the light very firmly. True, there is no quick release... but that's OK, it is a good mount for a great price. Mount came quickly, and was nicer than I thought it would be. Worked great with my Surefire flashlight, and mount and dismounts easily. Decent quality construction and materials. Have see this same mount with other name brands on them, or very similar mounts with slight difference, for a whole lot more. I can't think of any complaint with this item. Great buy!!! If you need a good mount and can't afford a top of the line model, this will do the same job at a fraction of the price.

I bought 2 of these inexpensive mounts to add a light to a weapon. They mount easily to a rail and are solid as a rock. I would say these compare very well to mounts that cost much more. You may not find these on US service rifles in Afghanistan, but for the average AR owner this mount is a great option. I would recommend to a friend as an economical way to mount a weapon light.

I have these mounts on two rifles. One is mounted to a Daniel Defense Omega rail and the other is mounted to a Magpul MOE rail on the MOE forend. Both times I have used this mount with Streamlight Polytac LED's and both times the light has been locked in very well. A flashlight isn't a precision instrument and doesn't need to be perfectly aligned with anything so I don't see the point spending a bunch of money for a hardcore flashlight mount. This works very well and I'm glad that I've bought two of them now.
