Smells authentic, so don't take it to office if you have fancy friends because they might think you passed gas! But that's how kala namak is supposed to smell. Really good taste too. Just make sure to grind it in a mortar and pestle because the granules are the size of rice grains - if you sprinkle it without grinding you are going to crush it between your teeth while eating.

I am trying this for the first time. This has the smell of rotten eggs or hydrogen sulphide. Also there are sand particles present.
