Sturdy enough. I expected less quality for the price, but I was happy to be wrong. Bought it for my garden and worked like a charm. Do not expect to pave roads, but for your garden is perfect. Treat it like tool, and it will serve you well.

This is a decent product. In terms of general build quality for the price I support other positive reviews and have not seen evidence of shoddy construction mentioned in some of the poorer reviews. Only negative comment is that we had hoped it would help to level off some of the bumps in the lawn and it is not really heavy enough for that. Maybe in winter if the ground is really soft after some heavy rain we'll try again. Bottom line is, if you only want it to put stripes on your lawn it will probably be quite good.

Worst thing about this roller is the assembly of the handle. It was put together with the parts supplied and exactly as per the instructions which were not the clearest. When assembled as told, you are told to then attach the handle to the roller - impossible! - it's not wide enough! So to improvise I then tried to attach the handle to the roller first then attach the dirt bar, again impossible! - the bolts supplied aren't long enough! I was close to boxing it back up when I decided on one last ditch effort by getting a small clamp and clamping the head of the dirt bar bolt and the handle together so the bolt end would protrude enough to get the nut on. Success at last! However, the ends of the handle that attach to the roller should have been curved inwards to be in line with the roller instead of facing outwards at a slight angle and therefore making it a tad harder to push.To summarise, the roller barrel itself seems sound and solid but the handle could have been so much better designed and so much easier to put together.Regarding filling it, I'd advise using sand rather than water - not sure just how watertight it is. I think it would be a nightmare to fill with sand that is damp so we opted for B and q's kiln dried sand, a bit more expensive but all the bags we got were dry and it flowed in with no problem using a small funnel. If using those bags, it took approximately 3 and a half of them to fill it to the brim.Not used it since filling it yesterday but if I have a problem or if the handle gives way it will just have to go back. Only problem then would be getting the sand out! Fingers crossed it's going to be ok. Time will tell!

Very easy to set up and use. I recommend for you everyone with small gardens on your backyard where you wouldn’t be able to take a proper one. It does the work.

Bought to prepare our garden for seeding our lawn. My husband said he couldn't fault it easy to assemble and use and does the job.

A good garden roller. Difficult to fill with sand - a nightmare to get it in through the hole. When full, very heavy indeed. Tricky to assemble - should be easy, but isn't. Not well thought through as a design, but it works.

After 4 days a chunk of metal holding the axle fell off.The scrap man collected all of it - need I say more!
