I have OCD, so I was excited to find this touch less trash bin. I bought 2 of these cans. The first one worked great for years and it got a dent in it from my kids playing soccer in the house. I replaced it in April and now I hate this new one. The motor for the lid to open stopped working and I tried everything to fix it. I called the number the company has listed and an automation says, "they're having technical difficulties" and it hangs up. I am outside of the return window and now trying to figure out if I should take the gamble.😩 It's not a cheap trash can, but I don't want a broken can.

We've had the same old ugly little trash can for probably 15 years. Sometimes when we flip the lid open it would pop off the hinge triggering a string of obscenities! I was over a neighbor's house and they had a motion activated trash can. I immediately went home and started my search. I wanted stainless with black, I wanted the hidden trash bag feature, and I wanted it to fit the larger trash bags. Amongst the many Chinese brand I found the Glad brand. While I'm sure it's also a Chinese product, I figured most of what glad does is trash and containers so I decided to give it a shot. I absolutely love it. Who'd have thought a trashcan could make such a difference. It holds the large bags (I think we're using 23 gallon) and it's uniform in size the entire height. The opening is just about as big as can itself. No more shoving trash through a small hole and rarely have to compress trash down into it since it doesn't taper. Another feature I was hoping for was that the motor powers the lid up but then just bumps it down and it goes down with some sort of tension mechanism. It closes completely, but doesn't slam. That's how this one operates. Some motor all the way down which I assume uses twice the battery power. This unit runs on 6 AA batteries. We've not had to change them yet, but it's probably been less than two months. When it comes time to change the bag, be sure to power off the unit with the switch. When you lift the entire lid portion, there's a few detents on the way up and down. When you're putting it back down it takes a good amount of force to get back past the detents. It definitely feels like you're going to break it, but so far it's held up. I believe it's getting easier as it breaks in. The hidden bag feature is easy also. Just a couple bars you lift up, pull the top of the bag around them, then lower them back down. No more bag sticking out of the trash can. That's also a compartment on the back of the can to hold your spare bags. I was concerned I wouldn't like it because of the shape it adds, but it turned out to be fine. Finally, the motion sensor. Once I found the sweet spot, I believe it's been probably 95% accurate. No more having to lift the lid with wet or dirty hands. There's also a manual open and close button. So if you're doing something that requires frequent trips to the trashcan, it'll stay open and wait for you.At the end of the day, it's a trash can But, if you're going to buy an eighty to hundred dollar trash can, you might as well get one that doesn't suck and so far this one has been great.

We’ve had this trash bin for 6 months now and it has been wonderful. Keeps the bad smell sealed in great. Its battery monitored, they will need to be changed out every 6 months.

It is one of the best items that I have brought from my kitchen. I have no problem making sure things make it stays clean and smellless. I enjoy the storage on the back for the garbage bags. The only problem I have with it is that the roll of glass bags does not fit in there. You have to just take some of them off and put them in there. That way you can pull them out individually. Otherwise this product is excellent

I like the quietness and I can use the size bags I have been using prior. It seems very sturdy, capacity is also great. So far I am extremely pleased with this product.

This is an expensive trash can but would have been worth it if it worked for longer than a few months. When the sensor stopped working we tried to use just opening and closing the lid manually but it is flush with the can and impossible to open (especially with one hand which is usually the case when you are throwing something away with the other). We tied a string around it and used it that way for a while but ultimately put it in the garage and forgot about it (using it for storage since it is a large bin). Tried to fix it again today and still doesn't work and made me think I should write a review since I wish I had known this is useless if the motion sensor stops working - wish I had known.

Ours lasted nearly 4 years before the sensor failed. Ordered another, hope it's as good

First time purchasing a product like this and I don't think I can go back to any regular old trash can. Very convenient for food prep, keeps the smell in, and great volume. Sometimes gets accidentally set off when walking by, but pretty rarely. Easy to change the garbage bags and I like the extra storage in the back.

The trash can lid refuses to open, I've left it off for afew minutes, replaced batteries, and nothing. I've only had this for a year and it doesn't work anymore. It's impossible to contact Amazon about this since it's past the return policy, and if you google Glad Trash cans, the product does not appear on it's website. Apparently this has a two year warranty and I have no one to contact about it.

Lid is pretty idiot proof. Will open unwanted occasianlly if it's in a high traffic area, I have a good spot for it so it's no issue. It keeps the smell contained really well.Definatly worth the price. Have been using it for 2 months and havn't had to change the batteries yet. Perfect size so you don't have to empty it often. It has a really smart way of holding the garbage bags in the bin. Highly recommend.

Todo bien excepto que no tiene un protector dentro y tienes que sacar todo el bote cuando se tira algo dentro de él.
