So-so
I received the baklava yesterday and immediately tore into it, tasting all four different types. The traditional layered pieces were rich and tasty and the phyllo dough was crispy and drenched with honey with a nutty taste. There were two other kinds, one rolled and one like a phyllo cup with two almonds nestled in the center. The rolled piece was dry and tasteless. The phyllo cup was unusual with slivers of phyllo like shredded wheat and a bit dry. The taste was bland.Overall, the mix had an interesting feel in my mouth but I liked the traditional layered baklava best. The taste was bland for the rolled piece, just this side of bland for the cup, and good for the layered pieces. I'd buy it again just to see if this was an off batch or if my original assessment is par for the baklava course.EDIT: Addition:This is the second time I have ordered this product and I have finally found what bothered me, besides the above, about the baklava before. It is made with peanuts. Traditional baklava is made with walnuts. Pistachios are also a nice change. Baklava with peanuts? No wonder the taste is a bit off and why the product is so cheap. Walnuts and pistachios are more expensive nuts. Peanuts are cheap, but I wonder why there is no listing of peanuts in the product and why the pictures on the box look like the baklava contains walnuts and pistachios. While peanuts are listed on the back, as are almonds and pistachios, there are very few pistachios and almonds (not at all taste wise) in the product. This is an adequate product, but the quality is just not included. The syrup is variable, going from far too much in the packaging to not enough on the baklava, and the taste is somewhat bland. It's a good dessert or treat to serve someone you don't like very much or have lukewarm feelings towards. Baklava should be made with honey and good ingredients. This isn't it, which means Galil has been producing cheap and barely edible baklava since 1890.

you will see what the box looks like. It is too late to send back and ...
Not going to talk about taste, but about the deceiving picture you see here. The picture here is not what you receive. Ordered this for an upcoming meeting seeing that there were 25 individual pieces in the picture shown, and with 3 boxes, there would be 75 pieces which is enough for everyone at the meeting to sample it. However, upon receipt of the box today, they do not contain 25 pieces, but rather 12. If you look at the second picture where it shows the size of the box compared to a T-shirt, you will see what the box looks like. It is too late to send back and get others before the meeting, so I guess we will try to cut the pieces in half. Here are pictures of the box we received.

Tastes way I remember it in Turkey
It is hard for me to say if this is the best I have ever had, but it is certainly very good. I do not like baklava that is so sweet that it hurts your teeth. Many of the restaurants that provides baklava, in Rochester, NY, have it dripping with a sweet syrup or honey. This baklava is drier, less messy, but very tasty. My wife buys quit a bit of baklava and finds this product to be the best. I rate it slightly higher than Harry and David's which has a richer flavor. The container that it arrived in is so airtight that we did not need to reseal it in Tupperware or zip lock bags. The variety is also a highlight of the assortment. All in all it is a great product and makes a nice gift.

It's OK Baklava With A Great Price
It was OK. I gave the Baklava a 3 out 5 stars but gave it an extra star for the price. Like other reviewers I did find it to be a little dry, but it tasted fine. I like my Baklava with tea so a dip here and there made up for the dryness. I was disappointed to find that this Baklava is not made with honey it's sweetened with sugar not cane syrup. You do get four varieties which can be a plus or negative depending on your household. If everyone likes one or two of the varieties it'll take awhile to go through all three boxes.

Not good.
There is something not right about this product. It is not flaky at all and the peanuts are stale. The boxes were a sticky mess with syrup and honey leaking from the edges. The pieces themselves were out of place. Definitely nothing that can be given as a gift. It looked like it had be tossed around. I will go as far as to assume this product spent time in a freezer which would account for the excess condensation in the package. I noticed a P. Date GAD 34412 code on the package that appears to be some sort of production date and I am investigating that and I will post further information once I know.Update: I received a response from the Galil Food company on the coded date and I was told it was produced December 2013 and has a shelf life of 1 year if kept in a cool, dry location. So the product date in fact good.Furthermore, I stand by my review that the product was in questionable condition upon arrival and had a stale taste that I have never encounter eating baklava.

Arrived in June.
I received my shipment in June. It was warm but I was also home to pick it up. I tried it straight away, too excited to wait. Well the ones I tried all tasted like peanut butter. They were flaky and drenched in honey but I prefer straight almond filling to mixed. So my husband who is a peanut butter fan, will probably love them.

Great cost-but taste is average
As far as baklava goes, this was the cheapest I could find anywhere. In fact, I received a three box pack for less than the price of what I would have paid for one box. Taste is average at best which is a disappointment to me. I have no plans to purchase an additional boxers of this baklava since taste matters a lot to me.

Not very pleasant.
When the package arrived, the contents of all three boxes had shifted to one corner and several of the pieces were broken. The boxes were apparently on their side because sticky honey was seeping out of a corner for all three boxes. I've eaten two pieces and they're pretty stale. I know it's a product of Israel but really, how difficult is it to package the contents more carefully so that I don't get a sticky box with several broken pieces?
