The best I have found for taller guys
I liked the snake skin design, different and cool. The Slumberjack Carbine 2500 bag is a little longer then the tactical Ghost backpacks and the Camelbak Motherlode and since I am 6 ft 4 in I was looking for a bag that would fit my body better. The Carbine still could use a couple more inches in height to fit perfectly on the hips. The quality of the bag is still fine, but it isn't the same as the tactical bags in quality. The padding is a little cheaper then a tactical bag, but still nice. As a hunting bag it would work just fine. There are pros and cons to each bag. The strap that fits across the chest and hooks to the straps fit my build the best. The straps were comfortable, but wish the padding went a little further down the strap for my size. But this bag fit my buiId best so far. I like how the Carbine has places for scope, ammo and water bottles. It also holds the weapon. The inside of the bag is coated with something that on a previous backpack crumbled over the years in the heat. So recommend don't store bag outside with extreme heat. Overall, I am keeping, but wish some quality company would cater to tall guys.

Got this for my sone for Christmas and he loves it. Able to pack bow or gun it is a great pack for a day or packing in on a extended hunt. Lots of storage and he can shoot off it for gun.He loves the camp pattern it matches his jacket and bibs.Highly recommend

Decent sized pack. I question the quality.
I expected better quality material and construction from such a well revered brand at this price point. I see the current price (01-16-17) is well below what I paid. Very thin material that gives me pause every time I try to put gear inside; I'm afraid it will tear or blow a stitch. I don't carry a lot of weight in my packs, I use them to carry bulky, cold weather gear like insulated coveralls, layering fleece and rain gear. All that gear takes up space and sometimes packs in quite tightly. For a pack designed for hunting I thought the material would be a little more quiet; mine makes a crinkling sound like a cheese wrapper. When I decide to get more layers out of it while in the stand I fear I will alert game with the sound from the pack. I can only blame my own research skills for not noticing the hip belt is permanently attached to the pack. It's not a big deal, I just fold the belt ends across each other near the lumbar area and connect the buckles around the outside of the main body of the pack. I don't care for the weapon carry system; it's not very user friendly when there are items in the pack. There are plenty of pockets, but not much organization inside the main compartment. I like that the top carry handle has a release buckle on one end; it makes it easy to hang from branches that are too long to thread thought it. The pocket with the ammunition bandolier is kind of neat. Overall, I think my money is best spent elsewhere. Your mileage may vary.

Good pack
Just the right size for gear and rifle, including spotting scope with full tripod. Plenty of ways to strap on game. Very satisfied with this pack.🙂

Killer pack...
This pack is great! It fits all my gear and that’s 40 pounds of it. The only drawback, and it is not really bad, all the straps on it dangle. I need figure out a way to secure them. But so worth the money!

Bottom gun straps too tight
The two bottom straps that help to align the butt of the rifle stock are so tight it is hard to get the rifle in and out without a fight. If you have a strap on it then it is even worst. It gets stuck if the strap is not pulled tight when trying to put the gun in or out. Trying to remove it in a pinch without scaring your game is not going to ever happen.

So far, so good
It works. It's Kryptek. I haven't really field tested it yet, only taken it on a couple of small hunting trips, and it feels a little flimsy, but seems to be holding up well so far.
