Great product, T2i owners beware!
I just recieved my P&C Gearbox today. Let me start off by saying this is an excellent foundation for anyone looking to start building up their rig. It does NOT feel cheap at all, the quality is outstanding for what you are paying for! The hand grips are molded nicely and assist me in getting steady handheld shots. I love the fact that they alternate threaded and non-threaded holes to mount acessories on top of the cage. This is a great convinience. The bummer is that it does not allow me to access my battery door on my T2i. The cutout is too far to the right. I would imagine this is perfect for the 5D and 7D, but not my tiny little T2i. This is probably a detail I overlooked when I placed my order. I use a Manfrotto 701HDV, so now I will have to go purchase a quick release adaptor so I can easily access my battery door when they run out of juice. My P&C Gearbox now turned in to a $150 product.I will still be keeping this cage only for the outstanding build quality, and hopefully be upgrading to the P&C Rail Adaptor kit for only $40 after I buy my quick release adaptor.

Very SOLID, and great price.
I am a photographer that is making the hybrid switch to learn video. I bought this unit over the other generic unit because this one looks simple and has an actual grip on it. I also like the fact that you can collapse it down and that makes it easy to carry in the camera bag.The first thing that I noticed was how SOLID this unit was. There is no wiggle movement or anything even if you try to force bend it. It comes per-assembled and ready to use. All you need to do is screw mount your camera to the bottom plate with a flat head screwdriver. At first I was a little disappointed because I thought I will need to carry a screwdriver with me but I noticed that the slot was big enough so I can use a coin or any loose change to tighten up the screw on the bottom.I noticed that there are two different types of holes on the cage, one treated and the other one is a straight shoot through to allow more flexibility when adding other accessories to it.Overall I am very happy with it and highly recommended to anyone who is planning to buy a cage.

Almost well built...
Out of the box it felt like it was built like a tank. After just a few days the bottom of the cage started to wiggle slightly. Even after i wrenched the bolts down as tight as they would allow. The metal plates are a bit too think which makes mounting somethings a bit difficult as most of my 1/4"-20 screws were not long enough to get through the plates and mount my accessories. On the upside there are a ton of possibilities with this thing and the grips feel very comfortable.I really don't know if I'm happy with the purchase but as of right now I don't think it's worth the $100 I payed for it. If you have other cages in mind I would advise you to try that but this cage works decently.

The search for a solid, universal cage is over!
An overall awesome cage for any DSLR. The extensions are handy for fitting a larger camera like a 5D Mark II/III, even with a battery grip! It's just a pleasure to hold and shoot handheld with. I've also used the provided screws to attach some of my Glidecam weights to the base to improve stability, it makes it much easier to get a steady shot with a heavier setup I've found. The screw on the base that attaches to your camera is a bit of a pain. I'm not sure how P&C could improve it really, but it's difficult to align it with the camera mount and get it tight if you are in a hurry. Mounting shotgun mics/monitors is a breeze with all of the mounting options too. I highly recommend this cage!

PNC GearBox the versitile camera cage you shouldn't go without!
This is a extremely well built cage, The PNC GearBox is a excellent tool both for the beginner and professional as well in my viewIt not only looks great, it is very durable and if your creative enough it can be very versatile. it can be used on a MonoPod or Tripod! And I even attached it to my COWBOY STUDIO Shoulder Mount and worked amazingly well, I even attached my RetiCam SmartPhone Mount on the GearBox and it fit Perfectly! then I put my Galaxy Note 4 with the case on (SupCase Unicorn Beetle) What an awesome fit!! so very light on the shoulders and yet feels SOLID! you feel confident that it's not going to break or crack. and it look professional

Inexpensive and Useful Little Cage
When we got this little cage I was excited to give it a try. Turns out that this thing is well worth the money.Positives - It has plenty of mount points for all sorts of accessories. - The hand grips are quite comfortable and secure.Negatives - Would be nice if it was a little lighter. It's solid, but could go on a diet. - The decals fell of before first use.Still a great purchase for the money.

Works great for camera, but could use more information on attachments.
Feels sturdy, works well, is as expected! Two improvements that would bring it to 5 stars for me: 1) tweak the design to eliminate the need for an allen wrench (thumbscrews only) and 2) include (GoPro-style) at least a couple attachments, for adding on devices that need a shoe mount or a 1/4" threaded bolt. Barring that, include a diagram and an order sheet, so it's clear what part numbers are the right ones.
