ODINN Boonie Hat Panama Scout Original Russian Army

I wasn't going to write a review until I saw that there are actual faint tailor's soap marks and I knew that someone's hand had actually made this hat and it shows! The stitching is very good on this hat with some portions being reinforced with back stitches. The fit is more like a 62cm with no adjustment so it is not tight at all unless the wearer wants it to be, with the bungie drawstring at the back. The material is light weight rip stop, which is very nice for hot environments. The brim is not rigid at all, far more loose than my other boonie hats. With its fine manufacture and construction, you can't go wrong with this quality boonie hat.

With its impeccable, design, stitching, and overall attention to detail, this cover is everything I had hoped it would be and more!I needed a non-cammo pattern in a universal color, something that would blend in to all environments, including day/night urban. So I chose the olive drab color, hoping it was a darker subdued shade as indicated in the photo. And the color and shade does match the picture perfectly.I knew going in that given this cover's top grid and its wide looped sides for holding concealment vegetation, this cover (even a solid color) would stick out like a sore thumb if worn around town during peacetime (no civil unrest or grid down scenario). So my cover is regulated for woodland stealth camping/bug-out practice.This cover is so well constructed, that I believe it's worth every penny of your hard-earned money.

OK, So I have a big head, size 81/2 hat , Nothing fits when it comes to clothes ...3XL tall isn't readily available on Amazon for most things...so you could imagine the immediate disappointment I saw this small package in my mail box..But to my surprise this hat fit...Fit just as good as the one Uncle Sam issued in the 70s....Quality and excellent workmanship...I could not be anymore pleased.... I've owned a wide assortment of boonie hats over my lifetime. This one is without a doubt the best. It's extremely well made and rugged. Think about the conditions in which you'd use this hat. I've been trekking in the woods, shooting recreationally, climbing, walking around and its exactly what I wanted when I purchased it. The short brimmed feature is what I was after and it provides sufficient sun blocking for my needs while not interfering with my vision. The material is the best of any boonie I've owned (including US Army issued). I was pleasantly surprised that it was so well made based on the very reasonable price I paid for it. I have recommended it to my friends and I would definitely buy it again.

Awsome hat, the material is a little lighter than US boonies hats, makes it great for hot weather, the stitching is perfect. Like the size adjustment, will be able to wear into winter with a beanie underneath. The brim is narrow, which makes it ideal for bow hunting. Shipping was much faster than described. This is one of those products that's much better than you expect. Will be ordering one for my buddy. Love it, no regrets.

Compared to my old US military issued boonies this hat is a winner. It's everything you want in a boonie. I got the ATACS camo version. It has an internal drawstring for universal fit and quick custom fitting. The grid to tie vegetation to is one of the nicest touches. It's much lighter than the US standard issue making it quicker to dry and easier to fold into a pocket.

I got 2 styles; Partizan SS-Summer & A-TACS AU prints. They seem to be of good construction and quality lightweight but tough material. Nice fit and adjustment with the toggles. The vent slots keep head cool.
