Specific Beauty Skin Brightening Serum, 0.5 Ounce

Whoever said freckles were cute wasn't about to turn 40. This was recommended in a magazine as a natural alternative to chemical lighteners, so I figured I'd give it a go. I've seen some results but frankly I'm not in a good habit of daily use, and sometimes I forget to do the sunscreen thing - so I undo the work it does. Hoping that with less sun this winter I'll see more fading. Smells like licorice a bit and it's a weird orange color - but hey, anything for beauty, right? Recommended over the chemical alternatives.

My husband uses this for "sun spots" to lighten the appearance. It was doing the trick and he was very happy. But, somehow the bottle just doesn't seem full enough and you run out really fast even though you use only drops at a time. So, it DOES WORK, but, since expensive we decided not to re-order since the spots were lighter UNTIL my husband realized that the lightening effect is not permanent or not yet anyway and the spots were darkening again so, we re-ordered and he is happy again, but I'm not budget-wise. So if you purchase you will be spending more than you would like, it will have less in the bottle than you would like and you will likely have to keep using it. First signs of improvement were in about 3 weeks time.

I first started buying the Specific Beauty set after hearing the celebrity dermatologist who created it on satellite radio. The day and night moisturizers and the face wash lasted a long time but I went through the skin brightening serum twice as fast. I thought I could just use inexpensive serums from the drug store until the rest of the regiment ran out and then buy the whole set again to get a discount. Huge mistake. Within 2 weeks my face broke out worse than it had been before I started using Specific Beauty products. So glad Amazon has the products available individually much cheaper than buying direct from Specific Beauty. I am a black girl with oil, acne prone skin and this product rocks.

This product made zero difference to my skin. It felt very nice going on, but I didn't see any improvement in my skin.

I've tried many products. This was another fail. Used daily for 4 weeks, this item didn't produce any significant results. I have very few sun spots and I applied this product very liberally, day and night for 4 weeks. While the spots didn't get worse, they didn't get any better either. I'd not buy this product again.Smelled fine, consistency is nice, dispenser dispenses enough for your whole face, so if you're just using this on a few spots, this pump could create undo waste of product.

This stuff is great at getting rid of dark spots on face, neck, hands, wherever you want to use it. You start seeing results after the first couple of applications.

This product was delivered in a timely manner and I haven't using it long enough to see if it produces good results. It's smells not so good tho which is ok if it really works but I'm not seeing any results yet and wonder if this is really what it is supposed to smell like. Not overly impressed with this product so far.

I have tried several brightening products. None seemed to work except for the one that was extremely expensive. I tried this and it works as well as the expensive one. No cream is going to make age spots vanish completely but this one really has faded them at least 50% to 70%. I use it twice a day and really do like this one and the price!
