Garrett GTI 2500 Metal Detector W/9.5" Imaging Proformance Submersible Searchcoil

It is unbelievable to me that reviews of the Garrett GTI 2500 listed elsewhere on Amazon contain negative comments about Garrett's customer service. My experience with them has been great. I use my GTI 2500 hard and twice contacted them for two different replacement parts. Maybe I shouldn't publicize this but both times Garrett not only shipped the part out to me immediately (getting me back in the field very quickly), but both times they sent me the part for free as in no cost and no shipping!!! These were not warranty replacements - my GTI was way out of warranty. In both cases I would have paid any reasonable cost for the part and shipping. So after this kind of customer service I cannot imagine how anyone could have anything negative to say about Garrett. The kind of customer service I received is nothing short of OUTSTANDING !!!I have a million positive things I could say about the technical aspects of the GTI itself, but suffice it to say this metal detector outperforms everything else out there. Not only am I finding more than others who are using competitor's devices, I am finding things faster, with greater pinpoint location, far more reliable identification (size and composition), and extremely accurate depth indication. When the Garrett tells me I am detecting trash I can rely on it. I don't waste my time digging undesirable items. It's no coincidence that law enforcement, airports, courthouses / other government buildings, concert / professional sporting venues, and private security companies all over our nation rely on Garrett products.I used to log all of my finds and after logging many thousands of coins and other items, I got away from logging.but I can honestly say I have logs documenting many thousands of coins and other valuable items. My favorite true story I like to relate when people ask if I ever found anything worthwhile is that on day one I found a gold ring. You can imagine my enthusiasm when one of the very first things I dug was a gold ring. Since using the Garrett I have been amazed at the things I find.One final word that has nothing to do with this product - always make it a practice to never leave a trace of any of your holes. When I am finished detecting an area no one would ever know I was there. (Just one hint: I like to use a tulip bulb planter whenever possible. I carefully extract a core, pull out the coin or other item and carefully replace the core of sod and soil exactly as I originally found them.Back to the Garrett GTI 2500 - highly recommended, great detector, outstanding customer service !!!! I would immediately replace this with the same item if mine was ever lost, stolen or destroyed !!!

I purchased my Garrett 2500 many years ago. I had a problem with the large coil several times. I would use them in water, which it was an authorized use. I contacted them and they immediately replaced them with a new one. The second time it happened, they again sent me a brand new one, but they had redesigned the coil. They sent it out to me with no charge even though the detector was way out of warranty. The new coil is just about indestructible. The new coil can just about be run through a combine and still come out waterproof and working. They go way above and beyond their duty to their customers. It is the best detector I have ever used. It not only tells me where the target is, but how deep it is and if it says its a quarter, you damn well will find a quarter. The only thing I don't care for is the pinpoint button. It is cumbersome on your thumb to keep pushing it to pinpoint the targeted item. Other than that it is an unbelievable piece of equipment. I would definitely buy one again. The only things I had to buy other than my GTI 2500 was a pin pointer and a gold coil. Once I had those two extra items, I can hunt anywhere in any soil and keep up with the Pro's using Mine Lab equipment. The people at Garrett are good people and stand firmly behind their products. Don't hesitate to buy one if you can.
