Doesn't work as well as a bristle brush
This is my first bristle-free brush, so this may be inherently how they work- but it does not seem to clean the grill grate as well as an old-fashion bristle brush. The metal spirals do not get down between the grate because of their shape. It still works OK for the top surface.

Safer than Bristle brushes
I like that it’s heavy duty. Works well !With reports of bristles coming loose and remaining on grill grate with the bristle brushes, this is a very good design. Just recently there was a report in the news that someone had a bristle in there stomach wall and had to have surgery!

It didn't work for me
It wasn't course enough to scrape the residue off the grill grates.

Don’t buy, useless as a bbq brush
This thing is pretty useless. I really wanted to like this so I wouldn’t have to worry and look for bristles falling off the regular style bbq brushes.

Sturdy brush. Have not used it yet. Will wait to see if the handle rusts like Iread in another review.

Great idea
It didn’t line up withe my grates well, but if I use the ends and manipulate it just right, I can get the grill clean.
