Sunset Hat

Great go-to hat. Flattering, lightweight, comfortable, durable, breathable, shapeable, and packable (but you won't want to take it off). The price point doesn't make ya stress in caretaking so it's nice to have a hat that can take it. The chin strap is a good option but I usually tuck it up over the sides and towards the back. I've bought this multiple times over the years so I wouldn't go without. My favorite is the blue and I've had the dark brown previously. The size chart was accurate for me.

You can shape this hat however you like. You can fold it to travel and reshape with ease. Color is great and fits well. The rim has a wire in it so you can shape it how you like. I have used the strap for windy days or I tuck the strap inside. It helps keep the sun off my face and neck. It’s durable so I find it’s worth the price.

This hat is flattering and great for keeping the sun away from the face. Mine fit perfectly and easily stayed on my head while I was hiking a trail.Air seems to flow through easily, it did not leave marks on my forehead, and it did not cause “hat head”. :)It seems quite durable, considering it got smashed several times during my trip.Great purchase, overall.

I love this hat, and I have been buying Sunday Afternoons hats for years because I have lupus and have to avoid the sun. This one is fantastic looking! BUT, I ordered it three times and none of the three I received are in “perfect” condition. The first had a small twirly bump toward the front of the bill that might become a frayed hole eventually, prompting me to order a replacement. The second and third however both arrived with the holes for the neck tie punched out CROOKED and so the hat was sitting at ridiculous angles on my head if I tried to cinch it up to stay on my head, which I might be doing while walking around on a breezy day, along the beach. The second two were also really dark in color compared to the first one. But the second two were cheaper and from a different seller, so maybe they were factory seconds. I hope so, because I would hate to think Sunday Afternoons is now just selling really subpar quality items and pawning them off on Amazon buyers while selling their better quality through other outlets. But this might be the case because none of the three was defect free. Such a great style though that I gave up after three tries and just kept one of these.

This is a beautiful hat with UV protection. I purchased the color ‘Oat’. Was excited to receive it. It was very well packed in a large box to prevent crushing. Color and style were perfect, however, the Medium was way too big on me. I followed the sizing chart and took a measurement, but it was still too big. Unfortunately, the color I wanted was not available in small, so I had to return it.

I bought this hat for a recent trip I took to Africa to do a Safari, and it did not disappoint! It stayed put even in the strong winds that came flying through the Safari truck. I never lost my hat, it was comfortable, and it provided great sun protection. Would highly recommend if you’re going to do some thing like a Safari!

Been thinking about this hat for awhile and finally ordered it. Love the hat, but very disappointed at fit.Beware!! I ordered the medium and it fits really large.I'm keeping it, but will be working on an alteration to make it fit me.

Bought this for our 2 week trip to the SW and my entire family was jealous of it, including my husband and 13 year old son. It came out of the box smooshed and instantly shaped up perfectly with a little bending. It packed up great and could get shoved into my pack then out and reshaped in a second. I have a tiny pea head so I sized it up using the straps around the cap portion and it stayed in place through some seriously wind and activities. Worked great in sun, wind, rain and never felt overheated with the vented material. I would buy this again and again though I am pretty sure I will not need too unless one of my kids steals it from me.

I don’t have an abnormally small head but the medium is a bit big. The hat is very cute though and seems well made. It’s lightweight, not heavy so I should stay cool when wearing it.

Because my head is a bit larger than average (sometimes I can wear medium, sometimes not), I made sure to read the reviews and Q&A's in order to determine if this one-size hat would be large enough for me.  I decided to order it after reading Q&A on the US site (Amazon.com) that said this hat would fit a head up to 24 inches in circumference.  Well, all I can say is that there must be discrepancy in the sizing, because it certainly does not!  My head is 23 1/8 inches in circumference just about the eyebrows, and this hat is TIGHT.     The interior sweatband IS NOT elastic (as I read in one review) and it has no give whatsoever.  This is such a disappointment to me because I really liked the look of the hat, the versatility, the SPF factor.
