Telescopic Antenna for Uniden Bearcat Base Radio Scanners with Hole in Top of Scanner Cabinet

I bought the old Bearcat for $1 at a yard sale because the antenna was broken and most of the public services around here have moved to digital trunking systems. I don't care - the railroad, airplanes, weather service and hams can all be received just fine and the scanner is simple to operate.I had to take the lid off the scanner to remove the broken antenna and then this one screwed right on and worked liked new. So, for $16 for the replacement antenna and $1 for the scanner, I have a nice basic unit that works great.

Hard to find these screw in antenna for times when that is all you need. These are not the easiest things to find for Bearcat 200 radios and the like with small "screw in" type base.

I must have put the antenna in the Good Will box. I am grateful that I was able to order one for my husband. He loves to be able to listen to the scanner.
