This is a true Gentlemen's fragrance
If you are reading this, wondering what to expect, this fragrance is an excellent choice for that perfect gentlemen's scent that is not only masculine, but exquisite and classy. The scent notes(to me) are sweet spicy and woodsy, with emphasis on a cedar scent. You truly can not go wrong in this tier of perfume, as it fits all occasions. The scent lasts a fairly long time, which is the right amount for an evening venue. If choosing to wear this at work, a freshen up may be needed by lunchtime. The glass bottle is Bentley to the core. If you are familiar with the Bentley automobile interior style, you will note the design is pure Bentley, classy and elegant. To better gauge my review and perfume palette, some of my other collections are; Lacoste(yellow bottle), and Lacoste classic, Jaguar Black, Nautica Voyage and Nautica Classic, Polo, Bijan.

This cologne is great!
I really like the smell of this cologne. It's very strong and masculine, and stays on the skin for hours, if not overnight. The one thing that I didn't like was that it has a very strong, spicy/minty smell at first. Other than that, it is a very good price for the amount of cologne and how well it performs.

Very good fragrance, especially in the cold
Very good budget fragrance. My friend makes fragrances for a living and recommended this to me because its cheap. Definitely worth it.

Very masculine, yet elegant EDP!
Based on the reviews, I wasn't sure about this fragrance, but after one use I was sold! It is definitely a very masculine fragrance, but other reviews seem to imply that it smells like an auto mechanic's coveralls, which isn't even close to being true. It does have the leather and tobacco notes, and does smell "boozy," but I disagree with the comments about notes of petroleum. In my opinion, the overall fragrance notes are leather, imbued with a subtle notes of fine whiskey, completed by a strong spice finish. This is an EDP, so it is stronger than competing colognes and EDTs, and its longevity is therefore very good, easily a full afternoon or long evening. Overall, this is an extremely well priced elegant fragrance for men that should be used for any special event or night out. This will be one of my top choices for special events (i.e. weddings) and for general evening wear.

It’s okay not great
It’s very harsh on the initial spray but it does dry down pretty well . This is a very masculine smell . And it smells pretty good . It’s cheap so don’t expect the “omg this stuff smells amazing” reaction but it is a decent daily wear maybe to work maybe around the house mostly I wear it around the house .

First thought when I used it. I feel like a lumberjack.
Best way I can describe it, it smells like you are putting fresh sappy tree branches into a woodchipper, then adding some smoke and spice to it. Price for value is amazing. I like it because it smells good, but it is not some crazy attractive smell. I am 42 and I just like to smell good. Like other post say, it is a strong smell, but for me it only seems to last about 4-5 hours. I do two sprays on the chest. If you spray it on your clothes, it is very strong and last a really long time (It bothers some people though). I think it is better suited for Men than Women. Personally, I like the smell right when you spray it. Then give it 10 minutes and it is perfect. If I sweat, I noticed I have to use more. Chilly days here in CA do not seem to bother it.

A modern take on a bayrhum type scent.
I'm very surprised to see so much positivity for this scent. To be clear: it's not bad. In fact, it's clearly very good, it's just the type of scent I thought went out of style in the 1970s with the advent of the musk and sandalwood forward hyper-masculine orientals. Bay rum scents are the kind of splashes your grandfather would wear, if you grew up in the 1970s. Or the 1770s... Still, they are always popular amongst the wetshaving community, so i suppose it was only time that this scent profile would get retooled for the larger fragrance market. Now, I am a fan of Nathalie Lorson. She made one of my absolute favorite scents with Encre Noire a l'extreme.. and though this is very well made and balanced (more so than the new iteration of Royall Bayrhum 57 for example), it's just a bit underwhelming to me.What this adds to a simple bay rum profile is nice: There's a good kick of pepper in the opening which dries almost immediately to more woody goodness. This will stick around for awhile along with the clary sage, giving almost barbershop vibes every once and awhile. There is (to my nose) a dark powdery note enhancing this effect. Maybe the incense? The benzoin, cedar and patchouli are noticeable to me and make for a great base that I really love. In fact, The drydown of this fragrance, i must say, is phenomenal. This is heavier than most bay rum scents and will last a fair amount of time. It's not a sillage monster, nor does it last forever, but by the time it is a skin scent, it is delicious.Ask me next month and i may be addicted, but for me right now, this is a staple scent i wouldn't wear in a formal setting. For a night out or a day exploring, it's perfect. I love amber-benzoin fragrances and this fits somewhere between the really oriental Moustache EDP and the far more aromatic Bijan. I just find myself reaching for those more.
