Memo New York AFO Kids Corrective Orthopedic Tennis Shoes

I ordered 3 different styles of Memo shoes for my child to try. This "Urban" style is quite different from their other styles. This shoe is attractive--it does not look like an "orthopaedic" shoe. However, I was quite surprised by the structure of this shoe. There isn't any arch support--however, I believe that is because Memo would like you to purchase their arch supports based on what your child needs. Ok. But these shoes had a very rounded sole, meaning a child with uncertain balance would not be steady in these shoes. By contrast, Memo's typical line has very flat, steady, sturdy soles. The rounded soles were on both shoes, so not sure if it was a manufacturing defect or not. Certainly not acceptable for the price. Returned.

I got these for my 31 year old daughter with cerebral palsy. She turns in her left foot alot and AFO would get in way as too bulky. Can I say she can walk so much better with these than with the afo. Love them. Will be getting more! I also purchased the shoes.

I like the fit of the shoe but most of all that my daughter likes them. I was worried that she would not like them and not wear th em. I ordered this shoe because my daughter walks with her feet pointed inward and has flat feet. A friend recommended them for us and the she's are great.

I like this shoe, however, it did not perform as expected. The tip toe walking is still the same and shows no improvement.

I bought these to help my son with tippy toeing. They gave him bad blisters on the heal

I've now bought mulitple Memo shoes for my son-- sneakers, boots and sandals. His physical therapist prefers them to an orthotic. The only challenge can be figuring out the sizing but the conversion charts are pretty on target.

Look elsewhere for toe walking orthotic shoes.
