Should Be Burlap
The frame is great but boy do the birds love making nests out of coconut fiber. Material should be burlap instead.

Beautiful display
This trough is very sturdy and looks beautiful underneath my window. We did not use all of the brackets that came with it, instead we mounted the trough onto a masonry shelf using a part of the bracket, plastic anchors and masonry screws.

Decent planter. Beware inconsistencies buying multiple.
I've purchased 5 of the 48" size to span a longer section of deck railing. The hanging brackets would not work for my deck, but the mounting hardware is not fixed to the planter, so I could easily flush mouth to my deck railing with lag screws like http://www.amazon.com/Spax-4571820700500--2-Inch-Corrosion-Resistant/dp/B000I66YO2 (I bought mine at Home Depot for $0.37 each). I chose these fasteners for their corrosion resistance and weight capacity. The good: These look nice, and the liners are molded to fit the shape of the planter. The planter is flush, so they can be used flexibly even if the supplied hardware doesn't work for you. I'm happy with the purchase. The not-so-good: I give 3 stars because of the inconsistencies in the product. I bought mine over two orders only 2 weeks apart. The first shipment of one was to determine if these planters would be a good fit. The first planter had good build quality. The joints were smooth and durable. The paint/finish was thick enough to give the impression of weather resistance. My only concern was that the size of the item made these prone to slight bending during shipping. I probably would have given 4 or 5 stars. The second order of 4 was made after I was initially satisfied. When these showed up, it was clear that they were not built to the same quality standards. The joints were inconsistent, and 2 of the 4 planters had failed joints where the side flat iron had come loose from the base metal. The paint/finish was thinner, and doesn't seem like it would hold up as long.

Almost, but not quite!
I ordered three of these planters, one of them came bent up in three different places. I was able to reshape it and make it work. My biggest complaint is there should have predrilled holes in each end to secure it on those ends. I had to drill a hole in each end to bolt it to my mounting surface. Without doing this it wouldn't ever stay flush with surface it is mounted to. No instructions in any of the boxes for the brackets that came with the planter. After much discussion about the brackets they were thrown in the garbage!

Planters look lovely on my porch
We mounted these on our deck rails and the brackets were perfect for the wood rails, standard 2X4. The planters once attached did sag a bit though, and it seemed like there was too much pressure on the rails once we got the dirt and plants in them, so we took some of the pressure off and straightened them up by placing a 2X4 between the planter and the vertical rails of our deck railing. The 2X4 stays there by itself. The 2X4 were just some old offcuts we had in the garage and they were just a bit smaller than the planter, so you can't really see them. It solved the problem. We didn't want to use zip ties as some have suggested as they would be too visible. My plants love the planters, my geraniums are still going strong and honestly did better in these planters than the old wood planters we had before.

Love it
It looks so nice!! The only negative is the brackets are for a railing. We ended up hanging it from the bracket slots under our window

I have a beautiful flower garden.
I bought four of these and I have a beautiful flower gardern, most stop to comment. Understand that I am not a gardener but these make a big difference because of the combination of drainage and the ability for air to come in from the bottom. I think they are great for those of us who tend to overwater. They look great on my balcony!

It has been perfect for an herb garden - we have 5 herbs now on th in this, on porch railing.
This was the perfect size for 5 herbs to fit in with space to grow. We did have to play with how it hung on the railing because our porch top has the skinny side of the board at the top and this holder is made more for something where a 2x4 or even 4x4 is the width at the top. We just grabbed some old hockey pucks to fill in the space so the hanging bracket can hang and it's hidden behind the basket so it all works well.

Beautiful
Have wanted a window box for my front window and this is perfect! With the help of my neighbour, we hung it with a 1x4 plank as backing, because there is stacked stone on my house. This gave a flat surface to attach it to. Verrry long locking screws. So pretty now full of flowers and trailing vines.

WINDOW BOX - CHEAPLY MADE
One of the supports was not attached to the main frame. Looks cheap. Would not recommend.

Ok product
Looks good but not very well built or finished, paint scratched, some welds had come apart. Serves it purpose!

Great window/balcony basket
So pleased with this, great looking window / balcony box. Good clear instructions with it, and the wing nuts, fasteners you do need a piece of wood though, so everything locks into the wood, very strong. And wood very strong to wall. Very happy with it, and the look of it.

Ordered as window box, came with attachments for fencing which confused me a little, but attached to the wall below the window sill and it looks great, I sprayed the inner with black spray paint which looks great.
