Another great Surviving The Evacuation installment
Tayell takes you on a tense and enthralling journey with the survivors. Every page is filled with either an action filled fight for survival or a detailed recollection of humanity's long lost normalcy. The character interactions with both the environmental factors and each other are a constant a reminder that survival isn't necessarily what you thought it would be , but a brilliantly engineered and executed design from the brilliant mind of Tayell! I am definitely not disappointed in this installment and am biting at the lip for the next!!! From where Nilda, Chester, Bill, Locke and all of the survivors have been to where the road is taking them with their new found French survivors, the depth of detail, the storyline engagement and commitment , true to the series, makes the pages viscerally come to life ! Yes , if you haven't read this series yet, you are absolutely missing out on an action packed , love and hate filled, post apocalyptic series that will have you clinging to your seats with anticipation on what your favorite characters will face in a fight for survival, together and against all odds, that will hit chillingly close to home.

On Frank Tayell's Mort Vivant, Book 14 of the Surviving the Evacuation series
There was a time when I thought Mr. Tayell would wear out the zombie apocalypse genre, but I was happily mistaken. Tayell takes a genre that many other less talented writers have moved past and made a huge mark in it for the entire Surviving the Evacuation series, all 14 volumes now.In this volume, Mort Vivant, our main characters (Bill, Kim, Sholto, Chester, Nilda, and all the rest) just continue to become more real, more complex, and more interesting. The plotting remains so much fun with plenty of action, characterization, and zombies! Once again, in Mort Vivant (the Undead) Tayell uses the Quest motif and creates so many good things that it is really quite pleasantly surprising. For the person who wants a rattling good story with evil and good people, the supernatural zombie element, and plenty of fighting with well delineated plot, then this book is for you. The zombie apocalypse is never more fun than when Frank Tayell gets ahold of it.

Always nice to visit
I enjoy visiting this world because it shows hope as well as desperation. The books are getting better and better editing and the writing has improved as well. I like the characters and the progression of the plot.

Answers! Survivors! Mystery!
I love this series! Each book leaves me wanting more, and this one is no exception. We all wanted to know what happened to Bill and Chester when the plane went down. Not only did we find out, we found more survivors, more answers, and more mysteries. Yet again I am left anxiously awaiting the next release.

Another great story!
We finally find out how Bill, Chester and the others made out from the plane crash. And we go d out there are groups of people trying to hold on to their lives and their freedom from truly bad people. Is Sorcha Locke friend or foe? I think she proves herself in this story.

Good read, like the rest of the series
I've greatly enjoyed reading this entire series so far, and although I wish this particular book had moved a little faster I appreciate Tayell's attention to detail. I hope he continues this story for a long time!

Another great book
Liked how people learned to adjust to survive. Hate that the book ended wasn’t ready for it to be over. Would recommend anyone who likes zombies books to give this series a try they will not be disappointed.

Zombie book lover? Read this and all in the series.
This book is a brilliant development in an already amazing series that I literally can’t stop reading. This time the action moves to northern France and follows Bill, Chester and Locke. After 14 books in this superb series, not a single other other zombie author or book has got a look in.It’s partly because I’m loving the Surviving The Evacuation series so much, partly because each new chapter is better than the last - and partly because I don’t trust myself getting distracted by another zombie book / series.I’m committed for the long haul on this series and loving every minute of it! Come on pal, let’s get started and you should come join the zombie party - yip-eee-I-yay!

A Benchmark Post Apocalyptic Series
This is a totally riveting book and series. Not just another zombie or post apocalyptic story but who can we trust, how can we survive and what kind of world do we want if we could rebuild. Its a page turner and stays with you long after you finish each installment.

Great series of books
Surviving the EvacuationOk, right up front this isn’t a single book review I’m reviewing the whole saga that is ‘Surviving the Evacuation’. I’m retired with plenty of time on my hands and like to read books that form a series rather than just individual stories. I admit that having finished reading the 20 books, so far, in the series I went back to book 1 and started reading the series for a second time enjoying it just as much as I did the first time.First off, this is one of the best series of books I have read and I read a lot in the post-apocalyptic genre. Normally I would avoid books about zombies but this series isn’t really about zombies although they are the focus of the problems the characters have in their survival. It’s about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world and all the problems that that entails. What is refreshing in this series is that women play a major role in the leadership, decision making and the fighting.I’m desperately trying not to put any spoiler’s in this review so it won’t be an in-depth review of the individual stories.Basically the story starts in England and then travels across continents. What I like is that the author will track what happens to individuals as they venture into the wastelands but he also keeps track of what is happening back at where the main body of the survivors are currently based. There’s plenty of action fighting the zombies, corrupt government officials, a criminal cartel and survival itself. One thing, you have to leave reality behind you are stepping off the reality bus when you read a book about zombies. Yes, you can look at what the characters in the book do and say to yourself they wouldn’t do that or they should’ve done this or this just wouldn’t happen. This isn’t a ‘Surviving the Apocalypse book for Dummies’ so don’t expect the characters to act or do things that people would do in the real world. This series of books are simply a good read and I’m looking forward to reading the continuation of the stories that the author has started in the books. There is still a long way for the survivors to go and I hope the author is up to the journey.
