Heavy weight and solid mechanisms. We love the tape vs cord because it doesn't burn your legs if the dog gets tangled around you. It rarely jams and lasts for years of multiple walks per day. Our first one lasted almost six years!

I used to have the same one and it worked all right, but the one that I bought here only lasted a month....

Broke within a few weeks

I have used this leash two or more times a day for two years, but yesterday it stopped retracting. It will have to be replaced. I will not be purchasing this brand again. Found another brand with a lifetime warranty and am hoping for a better quality.I would not recommend this leash.

Works well, retracts well all the time. A little bulky but sturdy. Easy to grip and hold. Good price value.

I've tried a number of these things since my original version of this broke after 4 years of heavy use. Everything I tried other than this was terrible. This leash works great and is quite strong and well put together. Highly recommend!

Does not tangle,so far works great

it's a little big and clunky, and there is def some friction as the leash goes in and out of the handle, but with some use that seems to have eased up a bit. i have no idea why there is a rubber cover over the hook to hook it to your dog's collar. maybe someone can enlighten me on that?all in all a great purchase and worth the money. our dog is about 65 pounds and this can definitely withstand her weight if she's pulling to go to something.
