Snowball shrimp are popular due to being low maintenance as well as their cute, unique appearance! They are very active and fun to watch and also typically easy to breed, making them a fun project for a new hobbyist! Shrimp constantly forage for leftover fish food, algae and biofilm to eat. Some caution must be exercised when keeping shrimp. You should not place these shrimp into any aquarium with fish over 1" as they will likely be eaten. You should also put a sponge or mesh over your filter intake to avoid the shrimp being sucked into your filter. The shrimp pictured are adults, so they are showing more color than smaller shrimp sometimes do. Your shrimp may not appear this colorful at first -give them time and a healthy environment and they will reach their potential! Shrimp can adapt to almost any reasonable parameters. We recommend: - Temperature range of 65 to 80 degrees - pH range of between 6 and 8 DOA POLICY -PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE PURCHASING: If you encounter any issues with the animals upon arrival, please email us with photos and/or video of the issue and a brief explanation (what animals are having difficulty, what the symptoms are, and any other information you may deem noteworthy). In the case of partial DOA, please count the LIVING animals before you email us. In certain cases, we send extras (i.e. Neocaridina shrimp) - so even if you have 1 or 2 DOA, you will often still receive what you paid for. *****This email needs to be received within 2 hours of delivery according to the shipper's tracking information.***** If these terms are met, we will either issue a refund or send replacements. Whether you receive a refund or replacements will be dependent on a number of factors, and decisions will be made BY US on a case by case basis.
