I made a 9-ft outdoor Christmas tree with 3 1/2-inch pvc pipes screwed together at the top and pex pipe around the bottom threaded thru pvc cross connectors. This 500-light strand was the perfect length going up and down around the "tree" to fill it in. I finished at dusk, plugged the lights in, and was in awe. These lights are very bright for blue lights. The tree looks beautiful. I'm going to make another one! It's going to snow tonight so I'll find out if they really work outdoors. I put the cross-connectors 8-inches above ground so the lights would wrap around the pex pipe up off the ground and wouldn't be sitting in the snow.My lights did not come with a remote control and I don't know what the 8-modes are. Mine stay constantly on which is what I want. Don't want my house to look like a motel :)

Very nice lights, nice and bright white, no dead bulbs.Not sure why but the review asked for a rating on the remote - they did not come with a remote so I don't know if it was missing or what.I would have given these 5 stars if you could plug one set into the end of another, but fortunately this one set was more than long enough to decorate the entire length of my fence.

The media could not be loaded.  Works great outside and remote is a great tool. I set the remote to H6639 which is 6 hrs on, 6hrs off, 3 hrs on, 9 hrs off. I turn on at 430pm, they turn off at 1030pm, then they.come back on at 430am for 3 hrs, then they turn off at 830am...then back on at 430pm...life saver and time saver for sure

I wish they had had these in different colors..as in different colors I can change myself. For the length I needed this and white were the only ones. We have LED strip lights on patio and can choose any color we'd like or can combine several colors. Other than that, so far so good.

These lights lasted through an insane thunderstorm system, a freeze, and the entire Christmas season. They are silent, no bulbs went out, and super bright. I was pleased with them before I realized they can change settings, as I had mine just on a timer (not included) to turn on and off with the sun, and they made me happy every time I got home.They are 200 ft long and packaged in 4 "bundles," which made them easy to string, but hard to unstring because of their length... would recommend not doing too much "weaving" because if you just ball them up to take down, they might not fit!

Bought these for the pine tree in our front yard. They are beautiful and the color options are fun. The only downside is that our remote was defective. Customer service wasn't able to send a replacement remote but wanted us to return the lights too. We are just changing the lights with the button on the plug.

Lights come in bundle sections, not on an easy to dispense spool like the picture. There was no remote, the only remote to speak of was the actual plug with the timer button on it. The lights are bright and the colors are nice, more similar to traditional incandescent light colors rather than the white tinted multicolor LED lights.

The lights are great. They are light weight which was nice because I strung them between mine and my neighbor's house (50 ft between us). The different patterns are good. They are LED so just one plug needed. The remote has to be pointed right at the receiver and only about 2 feet away to work, There are no instructions for the remote. I couldn't figure out how to program the timer.
