Rubies DC Comics: Wonder Woman Costume for Kids

My almost 3 year old daughter insisted that she wanted to be Wonder Woman for Halloween. When I looked on Amazon, this one seemed to be the cutest one. She currently wears a 3T/4T in clothing, but based on the reviews I decided to buy a size small (4 to 6). I am glad I did. It fit slightly big, but I would rather it be a bit too big than too small. This set came with a lot more accessories than I thought it would. There is the dress, headband, gold belt that ties behind her back, red cape that velcros on her back, two silver cuffs and fake boot covers. Everything was great except the fake boot covers. They came all the way up to her thighs and were really baggy and there is no elastic to hold them up. However, my daughter has a pair of fake ugg boots, so I just put these over them and tucked the top of the boot covers down in the fake uggs and it looked great. I love the material the skirt is made out of. It is shiny and so is the red cape. Except for the boots, I am very surprised by the quality of the whole set. I feel like I got a great value for the cost. And this really is so cute. My daughter actually won best Super Hero costume at a Halloween party tonight. So if you are wavering on buying this, go ahead. It really is worth the money.

Very happy with this purchase and my daughter loves it. I read a bunch of the reviews to figure out which size to get for my just-turned 6-year-old, and after much hemming and hawing, I decided on the Medium based on many people saying that the Small is just too short. My daughter is small for her age (about 44" tall and about 40 lbs), but the length is perfect. Comes to about mid-thigh. It is a tad baggy in the bodice but after the waist is cinched with the belt, it looks good. The cuffs fit well on her skinny forearms (with some wiggle room). The boot covers are definitely way too big. If you pull them all the way up, they'd go above the knee and there is no elastic to hold them up. The costume quality is better than most. The bodice is a soft velvety material and the skirt is nice and shiny. The trim on the bodice is not satiny like in the photo but it still looks good. Thumbs up!

Great costume! Size was spot on, the only thing that I had to fix was the head band. The elastic straps were not long enough to go around my 6yrs olds head, I added a strap off a pair of swimming goggles to make it work. The costume fabric is awesome, very impressed with the colors and quality of it

First of all my daughter is 5 years old and LOVES this costume, which is what matters most. The colors are great and best of all it is comfortable (not itchy at all which I find most costumes tend to be). The body part and cape are connected and fit PERFECT! I would say almost to perfect for a 5 years old, but it is stretchy so it should fit 6 year olds as well. Yes when it arrived there were some strings hanging from around the Wonder Woman logo on the chest but a little snip snip did the trick and it looks fine! The head piece is slightly big, but if you put your child's hair in a pony tail or even cut the back and tie it together it works great and looks great. The belt was to big and i'd recommend getting some inexpensive velcro at the store so you can fit it to your child's waist or sew it directly to the costume. Boots like most people said are big. Either plan on sewing them to fit or not wearing them at all. The skirt is short but I wouldn't make it a deal breaker when purchasing. With some white leggings or blue shorts, it looks great. I find leggings works the best as the temperature where I live is cool at night in October so she will be warmer. I do hope at some point the company changes the size of the boot fabric and make the belt more adjustable as it is a great part of the costume and I would like my money's worth by being able to use everything with a little less of my own work to make it fit. Some one said they washed it and it messed it all up.. Like all costumes, never put them in washer and dryer unless it specifies or it will tear up. Hand wash to be on the safe side!!!!!! In conclusion, Some of the items with the costume may need to be adjusted or not used, but the body part/cape look and fit great! I highly recommend this costume. Your child will LOVE it!!! C

Pros: *Really good construction/quality. Seams & stitching stayed intact. No threads hanging. Red & white of boot cover stayed separate. It's lasted through Halloween and some play wear just fine. *My daughter loves the style; very cute for a little girl. She loved the positive & strong image of the costume in the picture (with no coaching from mom, really). *Delivered on the earliest day promised. *Was in new condition & in clean packaging. *The boot covers stayed up and covered the boots just fine over rain boots. *Cape attaches securely by velcro to the back of the costume instead of around the neck--great safety feature. *The costume looked great and still fit well with a red turtleneck (from Target) worn underneath for warmth outside. *It was easy to add reflective tape touches (for safety) that blended with the costume. *The instructions say spot clean, but I handwashed the top/skirt & it turned out fine. The screen-printed stars may not last multiple washings. *Comfortable; easy to move and run wearing it. Cons: *The headband barely fit, but it did fit & stayed put. *The costume ran a bit small compared to the size chart, but we had chosen to size up a little (thanks to the other reviews). *The skirt could be longer. My daughter wore a pair of short shorts underneath, which didn't show at all, for modesty.

This costume is vivid, bright colors and very appropriate for a school Halloween costume. The skirt hits above the knee when you size up, which is what I did to be safe for school dress code. The cape is velcro to the dress, super easy. The material is heavy and good quality, not thin or sheer. My issue is with the accessories. Naturally, my 8 year old was more excited for the accessories than the dress, and they disappointed us. The headband has only half the length of elastic needed to keep it on your head!! We had to pin it in her hair. The bracelets are large and not tight, so they fall up and down your arm a lot. The belt velcro is weak, so we tied it in a knot on her back. The shoe covers snapped back up from the shoe on the bottom and the tops fell down. In a nutshell- if your kiddo like accessories, this isn't the one. If you are willing to only get a quality dress and cape, then this is worth it.

Im a pretty hard reviewer - I like to get what I pay for - this costume is great, my 4 year old daughter LOVES it. Im not sure why others are complaining about the quality of this outfit, for the price its honestly way better then I expected it to be based on the reviews. its really well made, not cheap material at all. Im really glad I followed the suggestions to size up...my daughter is a pretty regular size 4 year old about 42" Tall and about 40 lbs ....being skeptical I order both the small & medium - the small is WAY to short and fits realllllly too well not easy to get on or off because of that I returned the small...BUT the medium fits great she can take it on and off by herself with ease and will last her a year or two in the costume department without a doubt (its a little longer then the small which I like) and if you tighten the belt it looks like it fits perfectly ; ) Very happy with the product. and super cute.

This costume is super cute! It's a bit on the thin side so if you live in the Midwest like me, this costume would not be a good choice since it tends to be cooler during Halloween here. My little one will be handing out candy so she'll be indoors that's why I got this. Minor adjustments will have to be made to custom fit the accessories ( cuff links, belt and boot covers). These items are bit big for my daughter. Now all I have to do is buy a gold lasso and my little wonder woman will be all set! Fabric: the top red portion and boots are red velvet cloth. The skirt plastic but the costume is still nice despite this! I recommend taking it out of the package immediately and laying it out to get the wrinkles out because you cannot iron it. Sizing: I purchased the child small size which is recommended for 3- 4 year olds. My daughter will be 4 in three months. She's very petite and only weighs 34 lbs. Despite this, the waist of this costume fits her a bit snug. if you're not sure about the sizing I would recommend going bigger. The cape is long enough to hide any pinning you may do to custom fit the costume or if you're located in a cooler climate a bigger sized costume will fit comfortably over additional layers of warm clothing. I'd rather make adjustments instead of being disappointed with a costume that may arrive too small.
