Mastacare Alfalfa Block Size 1.0 KG No Colour

I purchased this to give to my rabbits, as it works out about 4x cheaper than buying them bagged alfalfa. It's very densely packed together and is made up of short grass fibres, but it provides them with some enrichment as they have to gnaw away at it to break small bits off. Alfalfa is high in fat and calcium compared to other grasses, but provides a rich source of vitamins and minerals essential for proper rabbit nutrition.I will buy this again and probably stock up. However, I can't give it 5* solely because of the wasteful way the product was packaged. It arrived in a large plastic shipping bag and was then wrapped up in several layers of cling film, and was finally then wrapped in two layers of plastic wrap. I understand that you don't want the product to break apart during shipping (although honestly this is unlikely), but why couldn't you wrap it in layers of tightly bound brown paper so that it's at least recyclable?
