This product is awesome! (A testimonial from a 6 foot 9 man)
This product is awesome.I Have a JZ400 C tuba and it fits perfectly. THERE WILL BE SOME TRIAL AND ERROR! Everyone is built differently and It took me a couple of trys to get the best fit ( This is vital for me because I practice standing up alot AND I'm 6 foot 9). It took me several tries to get the right fit. Also if you think it should be super tight you thought wrong. If the harness were to fit tightly you would have NO room to (#1) breath correctly and (#2) bring the horn to your face! As a tubist I had the mindset that it would fit like a saxophones harness but this is very ignorant. All harnesses don't fit the same.Pros: This makes my horn feel weightless! I can practice for several hours without my arm getting tired etc! It it very fun to stand up and maneuver with my horn. The stitching is VERY stable and if I were to let go of my horn it would sit in midair until I picked it up again. ( No that is not irresponsible. I wanted to know if this product works or not!) So if you're wondering wether you can drop your instrument with this product NO YOU WON'T! It will catch it for you!If you are worrying about the size.... I would get the regular for starters. I am 6 foot 9 inches and the regular size fits me perfectly. (Take in consideration that I have a loooonnngggg torso.) So if I were you get the regular and adjust to comfort. Then if it's to large get the Junior size.

Good product - but watch out for the size
This is a solid product - it does what it is designed to do. However, I have a few caveats for a potential buyer. First, I'm 6'3" and since there is no accurate sizing chart, I purchased the 'extra-long' thinking that I would need it. Incorrect - the harness does not bring the instrument up high enough, causing me to have to manually support it anyway. This sort of defeats the purpose! So I would recommend all potential buyers to get the 'standard' size, not the 'extra-long'.The other caveat is that for most professional tubas (I have a MIraphone 186), the attachment that is intended to wrap around the bottom bow is too small, so most users will probably not be able to use it. This is somewhat annoying and I wish tha Neotech would change it so that it can be used with the large professional tubas such as the Miraphone. But this is not really a serious problem, since the provided straps can be used to attach to the tuba's bottom ring and the harness is quite strong enough to support the weight of most instruments out there.Aside from these two issues, the harness works well. it is soft and does not bother me even when I am standing for long periods of times. The straps are also wide enough hat they do not cause me any discomfort. And as I mentioned above, it is more than adequate for even the largest tubas as far as strength. OVerall, this is a good product and one I would recommend for players who want to have some support for their tubas.

Fantastic option for a tuba harness on the (semi) cheap
I needed a harness for a quintet concert I put together that included a few standing moments. My tuba does not have the strap hooks, so my wessex tuba strap wouldn't make the cut. I really like the small part that wraps around the bottom bow of the tuba. It is way more secure and shifts less than something that just has hooks, and overall feels higher quality. I wasn't willing to pay the several hundred dollars it would cost to get one of the Wilfried Brandstrotter harness systems, and couldn't wait the several weeks it would take to receive this.As a side-note, having a tuba harness is kind of like carrying a pocket knife. You don't ever think you'll need one but then when you start carrying one you will use it all the time! Or maybe I am weird and just enjoy standing with my tuba.

Too complicated to use
I’m not too sure how other people are getting this to work, but I could not figure it out for the life of me. I originally ordered this so I could use it in a recital, but there’s no way I could fixate this quickly, let alone get it on in the first place. The product seems of good quality, and there’s a lot of options to harness it seems like, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it on either of my tubas.

Amazing!
They if to get the strap onto my tuba was a bit of an issue but once it was on it was amazing. I had ordered it for a parade and I barely felt the weight of the tuba.

Great Strap. Get one. Your back will thank you.
I have been playing the tuba for about 10 years and had become frustrated with an improvised strap I was using to play the tuba while standing or marching. I searched online and realized that tuba straps are not readily available - maybe because its a niche market.I settled on purchasing this Neotech Harness and have been very satisfied and relieved ever since. There were no written instructions received with the strap, only a couple of pictures. This should be corrected. Some simple instructions would be sufficient. So figuring out how to set it up was a bit tricky initially but after that I have had no problems with this harness. The harness is well designed to distribute the weight of the instrument evenly across your shoulders and upper back as it supports the tuba from the large bend at the bottom (playing position) and one of the bends near the valves. It is very comfortable as I can stand or march and paly for long periods with this harness. Most likely I will buy another one as a spare.

Good for most 4/4 tubas
The harness is great. I’m not slim but not too strong and I’m average hight, it’s perfectly ajustable and suitable both for my Cc and F tubas. The only thing is it slides a little with the tuba’s weight and it takes a little time to take it off and put it back on again, but generally a very good product and a great solution for tubas which don’t have the little rings for normal harnesses.
