Brilliant colourful hair clippers
Arrived on time, well packaged, lovely colours. Cuts brilliantly and easy to attach the different length combs, cuts evenly and end results look good. Not too noisy and very professional great trimmers even on first use. The different coloured combs make it easier to choose the correct length and not make mistakes as when they're all the same colour. Was very impressed with the function and style of these hair clippers and would definitely recommend them to everyone who wants to style their own hair or for parents styling children's hair. My grandson was very impressed with the different colours and his hair looks like he's been to a professional hair stylist 😃

What you see is what you get
I was expecting this Wahl clipper to be good and to be honest, it really cut through the hair with no trouble at all. The guides are really easy to clip on and off and the colour coding is great if you tend to only cut one length, because then you will remember that it is 'that' colour without having to put your glasses on and hold the guide up to the light at an angle to see the number every time.As our cordless clipper appears to be coming to the end of their usefulness, when I saw these at this price, I thought, why not. But I had failed to realise that they were corded - so do remember this if you are thinking of buying them. I didn't send them back when I realised this because our old clippers got so bad that we had to keep them plugged into the charger when using them anyway, so it made no difference. The other thing to be mindful of is that there is no adjustment arm or any fancy gadgets on this clipper. There is a pivoting on/off switch and that's it. There was one other thing that took me by surprise a little and that was the vibration that I felt in my hand as I was using it. I'm no clipper expert, but I suppose that the stronger the electric current / blade action, the more vibration it will have. I think if I had to use this all day, I might eventually have a problem with my hand but, the fact that that the Wahl was more powerful than our old cordless clippers meant that the cut took half the time of normal, so didn't have to handle it for very long.Along with the clipper and coloured guides, in the pack there was also a comb, a pair of scissors, a brush for sweeping hair off the neck, a plastic cape and a small bottle of maintenance oil and brush. The scissors should only really be used for thin paper, but everything else worked as they were supposed to, even though they were of very basic quality.Overall, this clipper was quite inexpensive considering that it was a Wahl, but the basicness of everything also reflected that price. As a clipper itself, it worked really well, so I really can't fault that. If you want a stylish tool with whistles and bells, and the ability to wave it around like you just don't care, this clipper is not for you. ;-)

Wonderful Epilator. Not so much with the hair clipping
I can only imagine that when the design team at Wahl sat down to create this product, they started with a blueprint created in the 1400's for a torture implement of some kind. They added some plastic and electrified it, et voila! It's torture on two levels - physically, as it rips hair from your scalp because it's inexplicably decided to drop out of kilter while cutting, and mentally, as you look at the chunks taken out of your hair and realise that you have no choice but to continue using this device until you have something resembling a clean haircut.Every quality and respected brand has their duds, a product so unfathomably terrible you have to wonder if it was a delibrate attempt to sabotage the company. Coca-Cola had new Coke, Microsoft had Windows ME, and Wahl have this. Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the worst item I have ever bought, of any category. Out of the box, it looks fine. It's colour-coded, as described, nice and sturdy, filling one with confidence. It's when you go to turn it on that you discover that calling these "hair clippers" is stretching the description a bit.For a start, you have to do some adjustment to make it work. The barely comprehensible instructions indicate using the handy brush to turn a little screw on the side. Except that a piece of plastic does not work as a screwdriver and the end of the brush promptly breaks, and you have to go get a real screwdriver. You turn this screw until it's just about to start making noise, or something like that. The instructions aren't exactly clear. Apparently the four second job to adjust a pair of hair clippers is something that just can't be done on a factory production line. And you're supposed to do this every time you use the clippers. Except that you also need to occasionally do it while you're halfway through cutting your hair. I must have been mistaken when I thought that I didn't need a toolbox beside me while cutting my hair. This "hair clippers" comes in two modes. One mode is ultra-silent, lovely, and is a fantastic epilator, tearing the hair from your scalp in a clean motion. The other is the hair-cutting mode which makes a passable go at actually cutting hair, if you can withstand the 100dB+ sound of a tiny jackhammer against your head. The instructions indicate that you're supposed to use the little adjustment screw to find the balance between these two modes, however the device has been created to randomly jump between the modes as you cut. This ensures that you stay alert while cutting, lest you fall asleep and make a mess of your hair.I bought this to replace a Remington device which cut my hair flawlessly for ten years without once ever needing adjustment or oiling. I gave it the benefit of the doubt after the first haircut. Teething problems, the device and I getting to know eachother. But it failed to behave on the second go, so now it goes in the bin.Buying this "hair clippers" is quite literally the biggest waste of money I can think of.
