Oh, A-Hunting We Will Go

This book gets pulled out time and again. My kids and I will end up singing it through and then often end up making up our own fun verses.

This book is the old folk song you probably remember from childhood. It's perfect to teach phonemic awareness to young children because it contains many rhymes. (We'll catch a FOX and put him in a BOX... and then we'll let him go!) It contains a few words which may be new to children (such as "pram" and "bunk"), so can help to build vocabulary. It's the type of book children love to listen to over and over again. After reading the book, help your child make up new, silly rhyming verses to add to the song. :)

I bought this book because a fellow educator recommended it. My granddaughter is 3 and absolutely loves the book. She laughs and laughs when we read it together. I bought the book to have at my house but she couldn't part with it. So I guess Nana will have to purchase another one to keep here.

Perfect for language development story time. The familiar "O a hunting we will go" song is expanded to many hilarious verses. A book of humor and rhymes that has had children laughing and participating for years. Example "catch a goat and put him in a boat". Music included. Also has great funny illustrations.

My nephew was excited to get more hunting books. He is in first grade.

I am a retired 1st Grade teacher and have shared this book with many children over the years. I recently met a special little girl with whom I had a lot of fun rhyming, as in this book. I thought she should have it and was very glad to find it on Amazon! She LOVES it!

This picture book I call a Sing-a-Story. The song is in the back of the book. The whole story can be sung. Children will easily want to make up their own verses once they read and sing the story. This is an example how music can help with children's literacy.

My daughter and I love this book. Has nice rythm too it. Only thing was shipping took almost 2 weeks when it said 2 days so missed my daughters birthday with the books

Great book to read and can't help but sing along while going through it
