+ effectively reflective+ smooth zipper+ thin fabric makes vest comfortable in summer and able to fit over winter wear- zipper is a little clunky for the thin fabric (I don't think this should be seen as a dealbreaker by any means)This little safety vest does exactly as it should. The small size fits my shih tzu loosely, but comfortably so; it's not too baggy. I think it would look a little better with a tighter fit, but this cut allows it to go over other outerwear as the thin fabric won't provide any warmth in the colder months. In this way, that thinner fabric makes it versatile in all weather.I bought this particular item because of the zipper down the back. I've found this to be the best design for us (stick your own hands through the arm holes, grab the dog's front paws, and pull through - then just zip). Because of the looseness I can pull this right over her head which makes the zipper unnecessary for us. It's a little clunky, but zips smoothly. A chonky pup would need the zipper though as the vest has no stretch.

Like other reviews, the fit is not that great. After viewing the size chart, I ordered a size small for my 11 pound Doxiepin. She measures 11” around her neck & 17” around her chest. I could have ordered an XS, but I was concerned about it being too short on her, since she’s part mini dachshund. As you can see from my photos, she would have wiggled right out of it in no time. I took it in 4” around the chest/belly area and about 1 1/2” on each side of the neck out to the arm holes. I’m hoping this won’t slip off as she runs and plays at our camp. I bought this to be able to spot her easily as we go for walks on our property there. The fabric is lightweight and I wouldn’t expect it to retain moisture. The reflective inserts work really well, as you might tell from the photo. All in all, I’m pretty pleased. I do recommend this vest, although be prepared to alter it to fit your pup.

When they say size small, they really mean at least a medium. My dog weighs 11 pounds. Return postage is too expensive so I'll try to take it in using my sewing machine.I couldn't find their size chart although it was mentioned in the description.Pretty color, though!
