Let me start by saying I have tried many aerosol oil sprayers in the past. I’ve tried the kind that you pump up and press the button to spray. Yeah, they work for the first week or so and then never work right afterwards. Every time I’ve picked up the sprayer and used it it works just fine. It sits on my counter so I may use it in place of aerosol oil sprays with some additives that I would rather not ingest. I’ve use this with a few different types of oil and I have had no problem with any of them. I have used canola, extra-virgin olive oil, and now I am using it with grapeseed oil. No problems with any of them. Honestly, I’m surprised that this has lasted as long as it has. Now mind you if you don’t keep the sprayer clean, as with any other kitchen utensils, it will not perform to the best of its ability. I use high-quality oils I have no problems. Wipe it down with a paper towel if it looks like There is some extra oil on the spray nozzle and that’s all.I was just asked this evening about the sprayer from someone who has used it at my house and it prompted me to read the reviews and write this one. Great product I highly recommend it.

I do like being able to use my own olive oil in the spray container. I found that it doesn't give me as fine a mist as I had expected. Takes a little getting used to though so being fair about it, I'm learning how to get it to work better. I may have missed something in how to get a finer mist. The pumping concept was a bit confusing the way it was written up. But, as I said, it is much better being able to spray my own olive oil (the brand of my choice) than buying all those sprays out there with chemicals added; or if no chemicals, they are very expensive and there isn't much at all in a can.If you have some better directions for the pumping to get a mist, please advise. I would say it's giftable if the directions can be improved.

My biggest complaint...It's NOT Ergonomically Correct!It doesn't fit well in your hand so, you actually have to use Both Hands to spray everthing and you're really in trouble if oil gets on your hand!!!I am not really happy with it but I didn't bother to return it.

I bought this item to evenly coat some of my food dishes. However once I decided to use it I realized that nothing was coming out and it was not spraying at all.

I read other reviews about this and still purchased it, I use it for lemon juice as a salt replacement. It sprays a nice fine mist of lemon juice. It does seem to be top-heavy so if it falls over I am pretty sure that it will bust apart like in all of the other complaints. I think I need to mold a base for this out of silicone

It is glass and breaks easily if it hits the counter right. Despite, I love using olive oil that’s not been pressurized into a can. (I’m on my 3rd now. I broke first and housekeeper broke second). Price is right and I’ll buy another when this one breaks.

Expecting a true spray of oil instead of dart like spray. One spot gets the oil instead of an area sprayed. Would not purchase again.
