Beautiful package, not his best work
As one might expect, this is a product for the Eggleston completist and I couldn't resist it.However, as so often happens with a great artist, after their death their Estate operates a less exacting eye than the artist did in their lifetime.This is interesting because it probably shows what Eggleson most probably edited out of his work, and how crucial the ability to picture edit is to a photographer.

Umm Eggleston is very much still alive.
I just wanted to point out that despite other comments on here, Eggleston is still alive and therefore the images in this revisited edition would have either been his selection or been approved by him.Unfortunately I haven't been able to afford this yet and therefore can't comment on its quality. The 5 star rating is because I was forced to include one and anything that leads more people to discover Eggleston is fine by me.
