Kaplan NCLEX-RN Premier 2015-2016: With 2 Practice Tests 1st Edition

I passed NCLEX first try and I thank Kaplan! NCLEX is MORE than what you know. It's about how to answer correctly. Kaplan has created a blue print for even the worst test taker to be successful. It teaches not only what to study and how to study but how to break questions down. These strategies work even if you don't know anything about the content of the question. NO u can't not study but this book will teach u how to pull out the correct information from your memory bank. It will point out what u should know so you can go back and study your weaknesses. This book was more of a help than the book I paid $300 for. Get it!! Worth every penny!!

I passed the NCLEX on my first try with the help of this book. I did not want to spend the $400+ on the live review, so I paired this with ATI (my nursing students know what I am talking about) and felt as prepared as I could have. This helps you to understand what the NCLEX will be looking for, in terms of knowledge and how to properly analyze and answer the questions given on the test. There are also practice tests and plenty of practice questions to help sharpen your test taking skills.

Excellent strategies to get you thinking! Not for content review (I highly recommend Saunders for that). Read front to back completing all the practicw questiona and scored 70-75% on the practice exams and was feeling unsure, although the book says that's good. Passed the NCLEX in 75 questions. The DVD is the same as the online portion (minus the practice test) so I found that misleading. Did not try the mobile portion. Only used the text and online portion. Great book!

Don't get me wrong, this is a great book! However, it's the same exact book as the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2015-2015 Strategies, Practice and Review book that I got from my local library for free...right down to the questions at the end of each chapter and the included practice test. I was hoping that I'd be able to access the so-called "included" online content that made this the "Premier" version which included another practice test and a 20 question sample of Kaplan's Qbank but even though it says on page XV of this book under How To Use This Book to go to http://www.kaptest.com/booksonline.jhtml, find the correct title/ISBN# and enter a given word, this book is not yet included as an option in that menu. Phone calls to Kaplan do not connect you to a human, instead you are told to send an email and then the line disconnects. I've tried both emailing and leaving a message on their Facebook wall but have not received a response. This book also comes with a DVD with a "Test Taking Workshop" and "Rules of the NCLEX-Living In NCLEX Land" which I have not watched so I can not offer a comment on it's quality or value. As I already have the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2015-2015 Strategies, Practice and Review and can not access the online content, this book is pretty much useless to me and I will be returning it.ETA: Kaplan appears to have added the option for this book, however when I try to access the online practice test I receive a 500 - Internal server error. The QBank appears to work though.

I'm glad I ordered this book to help me prepare for my upcoming NCLEX exam. It's helping me to study and know how to better answer test questions. It's easy to read, easy to understand and a good study guide. I plan to use this in combination with taking the actual Kaplan review course to fully prepare myself for the exam.

I thought the NCLEX was very very similar to the Kaplan questions. This book is great to tell you tricks and tips to answering questions so you do not get caught up in dump trap questions. Passed the NCLEX the first time, so I am a believer.
