Hope Im not jumping the gun but I love this
Hope I'm not jumping the gun leaving a good review after just one use, but I freaking love this shower head! Maybe for legal reason the company can't claim this "softens water" or maybe that's the wrong terminology, but this is exactly what I was looking for!!!! Solved the hair issue I was having! I can actually run my fingers through my hair with just water running over my hair, before I couldn't, without pulling my hair and ripping through tangles. And once it was dry if was light weight, soft and manageable!! This shower head solved the abrasive, sticky type feeling I had in my hair and my skin also feels noticeably softer! After I dried off, my skin felt soft and smooth like I had lotion on! After noticing the difference in my skin, I now wonder if maybe my crappy water was to blame for my adult acne?! Only time will tell and I can't wait! Only issues is, of course it leaks in a spot that can't be adjusted, tighten or taped, but it's minor.. and the water pressure didn't seem affected, other reviews talked of this mysterious, mystical part somewhere you can take out to improve water pressure, but I read that instruction booklet and even the postcard thing back to back and couldn't find anywhere about removing some part to improve water pressure.. also looked the whole shower head unit and hose over and didn't see anything to adjust..Oh well can't have EVERYTHING I want.. but I can tell a difference in the water and it was what I was looking for

Filter defective…shower head not working right
I would give ZERO STARS if I could. This is my third shower head of this brand so I know how to use them. This one, the water was BROWN when I put the new included filter into the shower head. I let it drain till clear. Then for the next 2 weeks it was still coming out brown every single time we turned on the shower head - not the tub faucet, sink, or any other water source in the entire house. Only through the shower filter. So I changed the filter to another one I had (same brand). It was black as it is supposed to be when flushing the charcoal. I let it flush the specified time and it was clear. The next day, turned it on and still black residue coming out. I thought it would eventually resolve itself, but it is still doing it a week later. Now, after a couple more days, the water is coming out brown again!! I also removed the entire unit and checked the water coming out of the wall without the unit on at all and no brown stuff! It is definitely the filter. As I said, this is the third one of these I’ve purchased so I know it’s not supposed to do this! The other ones never did this so I can only assume that the unit itself is defective. The first filter definitely was! I am not happy about either. The whole unit should be replaced since this shouldn’t be happening. It’s making me question whether the filter is even working??UPDATE: I got a water tester and tested tap water from the tub spigot verses the water coming through this filter and the water from this filter is DIRTIER than the water straight from the tap!! This is not ok!And of course the return window for this has already passed (I purchased it before our bathroom was remodeled and didn’t install it for 2 months).I want my money back and a replacement unit. Or maybe it’s time to jump ship and try a different brand.

Better than Aquasana; super easy to install
I've had an Aquasana showerhead with chlorine filter for a number of years. The replacement filters cost close to $50 EACH, so I tend to put off replacing it. But that's not a good thing to do, because the filter stops removing chlorine, and bacteria can start growing on the filtration medium. My Aquasana's filter was way overdue for replacing, but I just didn't want to spend another $50. So I did my research and found this replacement. For $19 more than the cost of a replacement Aquasana filter, I got an entire, brand-new system. Plus I can get two replacement filters for my new shower system for less than the cost of an Aquasana filter, so I bought it.It arrived super fast and installed in 15 minutes (including carefully reading the instructions before installing). I had to use some plumber's tape (a very generous amount is included with this shower filter system) to keep it from leaking where it connected to the shower pipe, and I had to tighten that connection very very firmly (for me; I am sure a stronger person could have tightened it even more). But once I did that, no more leaks. It works great and the water pressure is higher than it ever was on my Aquasana. The filter replacement process looks like it is well-thought-out, so it is much easier than my Aquasana. Plus it is nice to shower in water that doesn't smell of chlorine.I would give this product a full five stars, but the way the whole filter housing swivels when I hold the showerhead to rinse off is a little disturbing. It's designed to do that, but I'm worried that it will eventually cause wear and tear where it connects to the shower pipe. Still, even if I have to replace the entire thing in a few years, I will still have saved a LOT of money over keeping the Aquasana.
