βββββ Finally βββββ Durable, Waterproof, screen protection π
I've bought at least a dozen cases for my S8+ over the last 2+ years. I work in busy kitchen where I need my phone handy for it's calculator, online access to Vendors etc... I am ridiculously tough on phone cases but better than buying $new phones.First - the edges All around are a VERY comfortable and ez to grip rubber type. Cushioning for falls to disperse drop energy. Baked enamel aluminum stout frame surrounding that. In a friggin brilliant design move both front and back of that aluminum housing has a 1/16" additional raised aluminum edge that adds an extra small, but really smart, minimal drop protection buffer for your camera lens and front screen. The case weight is not an issue for me because it's durability is the best I've found (LifeProof-OtterBox etc)Once I have a screen that's scratched - I have to replace it or reading becomes too difficult on this size screen so that extra raised edge should prove to be a case life extension.... The lanyard is fine and it's design at the bottom allows you to upgrade to almost anything if you want something more wrist friendly for yourself. What's included is fine but I'm already thinking about something I can hang with dual strap/ Y-design to hang it like a hanging mini clipboard. I chose the bright yellow so it stands out when lying around. Yes - the paint will possibly chip in time. That's to be expected since it's not plastic/poly design but no chance it'll ever crack vs. options. Also drastically improved charging port cover vs some similar designed cases I've used. Simple snap out with enough length and flex to easily attach the charger.. As stated in manufacturer description - thin headed Type-C is the only ones that will fit. Wireless charging friendly. Installation is a piece of cake. The only small qualm is the operation buttons are a little stiff initially but I'm pretty certain that with time the rubber will soften up a smidgen (which as much as I would want - for it's waterproof durability) and it'll be as close to perfect as I have found in what has been a long search for form and function in an difficult nich to quell for my requirements. The fingerprint reader works great, the depth due to the case design takes a little getting accustomed to using seamlessly but I can deal with the minimal slight obstacles given the huge upside this case provides! βββββ

Well built phone case
This case is nicer than I expected. A good mix of metal and rubber. I did find that you need to test as you go with how tight you screw the front / rear covers together. Over tightening can squeeze the rubber and cause it to push the buttons on the side of you SG8+; specifically the Bixby button. If your phone screen constantly comes on and off, the Bixby button is being pressed. The use of Loc-tite is recommended to keep the small screws from working their way out. Induction charging can be hit or miss depending on the charging base and position of the phone.

Durable but there's a few downers.
Served its purpose.I dropped my phone and the cased served its purpose. My phone isnt broken just the case.It was shocked proof and waterproof. It's not dustproof (not sure if that was mentioned in the discretion or not but it's not dustproof)People told me they cant hear me on the other end or there's an echo bouncing back at them.So that was a downer. And the fingerprint sensor on the case did not work.Only thing that served was how durable the case is.So if you drop your phone case with the phone secured inside, your phone itself is safe inside.

Manufacturing short cuts make it fall short
Looked nice at first. After about 6 months the aluminum starts to warp which pops the tiny metric bolts they use at the corners which only perpetuates the warping . Iam a Machinist by trade id recomend about .07 thickness addition to the body of the part and threw tapped holes with screws that are flush or close to the threw drilled holes when assembled to alleviate stress on the tapped island which seem to be the major stress and break points.

Use "blue loctite" first when assembling or scres will fall out.
After 1 year of use, the protective case was no longer waterproof. The reason being 2 of the 6 backing screws had fallen out. If purchased, I would suggest dabbing "blue loctite" on each screw before assembly. This would prevent them from backing out and loosing them thus no longer being water tight. The finish over time wears off easily. The case overall though is very durable. I have dropped my phone many times and the case did save my phone. Had otter box before and it did not hold up like this case does.

May Be Too Durable
I like that is very durable. My only complaints are that the finger reader is difficult to use because it has a mesh screen on the reader and it makes it hard to read your fingerprint. I've had issues with the sound with or without headphones. I'm told by the caller that they can't hear me or it's muffled. I think that the case may be affecting the sound quality. My phone is fairly new, 2 months. I had to take the case off. I guess I'll get a backup case for when I'm at home but I would definitely travel with this case because it is super durable.

sturdy but not for right phone
I ordered this for the phone stated- everything was great except- the fact that it covers the speaker at the bottom of my phone- so my husband had to drill little holes in there which doesnt look all that new now- but its a sturdy case- since i have a grandbaby who likes to play with my phone. Just having to yell at time bc people couldnt hear me since the speakers were covered by the heavy material. wasnt made correctly. other then that- great buy.

it is what its supposed to be
after reading reviews, the only thing this case doesn't do is wireless charging. my wire charger is 'tight' but fits. and it keeps the actual phone back from falling off because of poor adhesive. i've spent more on other man.'s products and this one seems to do its thing best.
