Extra Cheese, Please!: Mozzarella's Journey from Cow to Pizza Paperback – Picture Book, July 1, 2003

I just read this today to a group of kids ranging in ages form 3 to 10. We then did a science experiment; making our own cheese (really curds and whey) using 2 cups of milk (boiled) mixed with salt and white vinegar; and strained through cheese cloth. The kids loved it! So did the adults.

I am a Wisconsin teacher and use this to teach dairy farming. The kids love it every year! I read this to them while they eat cheese and we discuss all the work involved in dairy farming.

My kids and I love this book. It is educational and written on a level that is easy to understand. It has real pictures.

I was extremely please with the book. It had one page that had been folded, but it worked great for reading to children.

I’ll give this book 5 stars if they release a director’s cut with the picture of Gus restored. Other than that, great book! Very informative!

I really enjoyed the parts of this book that did not included Gus Johnson. So basically, I enjoyed the whole thing.
