Caldera Hot & Cold Therapy Gel - 10" x 15"

I have been shopping around for a gel ice pack big enough to go over both of my knees. I have patellar femoral syndrome, so my knee caps lack enough cartilage to cushion against friction/rubbing. As a result, I have very sore knees after a long day at work. (I am on my feet all day.)This pack gets very very cold and stays flexible still. I lent it to a relative with a sore wrist and she was able to wrap it almost completely around her wrist. For my knees it works great for a 15-20 minute ice therapy session after work. It’s big enough that I can put my knees together and mold it across both.I haven’t tried to heat the pack up because I bought it solely to be an ice pack.

I recently had hip replacement surgery and fortunately bought a few of these ice packs and various sizes to help the pain in my recovery. These are great. They chill very quickly in the freezer and maintain the cold for over an hour. I actually just purchased another one.. Worth the money

I've been dealing with severe back pain and have used this ice pack along with other types. The caldera packs are easily the best I have used. They stay colder longer than the others while remaining soft and flexable. The 10x15 size is great on a large sore area - like the back. Its large enough to wrap around an arm or leg that may be swollen or painful. I also get headaches, well this pack has eliminated my need to always keep a bag of frozen peas in the freezer, I used it on my head and neck the other day and it helped quite a bit. I haven't yet needed to heat it up and use it as I own a heat pack. Overall I really like it and would recommend it to a friend, its much bigger than most other packs, can be used easily in various spots, remains soft and flexable when frozen, and stays colder longer.disclaimer: if you are having pain that has not been evaluated by a physician, please do so as this treatment may not be the most suited for your condition.

I bought this for a few reasons one being I needed for my migraines (I lay my head on the pack) and this one not only got cold it stayed cold for hours. It also stayed soft and malleable so that laying on it didn't hurt at all. I could also use it on other parts of the body easily since it would bend and cover areas. I decided to get a second one and another by them that is a bit smaller. The only problem I ran into was one corner leaked a little. I taped it and it's worked fine with that repair. This is why I didn't give it a five star rating.

Perfect for my knee replacement! Stays cold a long time. I did use a rolling pin when first taken out of freezer to make it so pliable!

After workouts my back gets sore and this covers it all. Glad I went with larger size this time!!

This TherapyGel pack by Caldera is 10" × 15". It can be heated in the microwave for 2 min. And for cold therapy the pack can be placed in frig or freezer. I use it to warm hands & feet when it's cold. I use it in summer to cool off. Best purchase ever!!

So I’ve been using these cold packs for years, and they are great! I keep a rotating supply of them in the freezer because I need one daily, and they usually take a few days to really freeze properly.My issue is with the packaging. This product is shipped and sold by Amazon, a company that claims sustainability to be one of their core leadership principles. I ordered 3 of these. Each one was individually wrapped in a non-recyclable, plastic bag. You can buy these in the store with zero packaging. There’s no reason for them to be individually wrapped and DEFINITELY not in non-recyclable, plastic bags. Come on, Amazon! It’s 2024! Do better! Do you ACTUALLY believe in your own leadership principles, or is it all lip service and marketing mumbo jumbo?!

Great so far! Stays soft but cool. I've only used it for cold not hot so far. Works great. Size is good for wrapping around my hands for sore hands or head for headaches.

I was having surgery and would be needing a large ice pack and looked far and wide for something but nothing in any store was what I was looking for so I took a leap of faith and ordered this and I am glad I did. It froze quickly and is very flexible so you can wrap it around any area you need to. I have even placed it on my head when I have had a headache!I have only tried this cold and for this usage it is a five star product

I learned recently that I have mild scoliosis. Basically if you are looking at my spine from the back it curves a little bit at some places. One of those places is my mid back. Sometimes this area gets very inflamed and I have spasms of pain that are quite difficult to deal with sometimes. I was recommended a hot pack to be applied to my back as that will help with the recovery process. I looked on here for quite a while. There are the heating pads that can be plugged into the wall and then they give off a steady supply of heat. I liked the idea but it was also a bit dangerous and a lot of precautions must be followed to use it safely. Then there are the old school heat packs like these. I chose to go with this as it costs a bit less and is safer in my opinion as well.It arrived quickly and am glad it did. The therapy gel pack is a nice size 10x15 inches. it easily covered my back area. To use this and and heat it up you have to put it in the microwave. Heat it up for 1 minute. If you need it to be warmer then heat it up in 30 second chunks. There is a warning that says that if you heat it up for more than 2 minutes straight there is a risk of leakage of the gel. I applied the gel pack to my back and it felt quite nice.I have taken a star off because of the heat distribution and how long the heat lasts. Even after you microwave this for a little while it still feels like there are some spots that are warmer than others. Also, it does feel like the heat lasts for a good 5-7 minutes and then it dissipates quite quickly. All in all it is a good purchase and I would recommend it to others.

Arrived very quickly, and am very impressed with the product! It freezes like a soft gel and I'd icy cold. It stays cold for about 4-5 hours then stays cool. It's more then big enough and cover it with a hand towel and place it under my pillow case. The cold is so soothing, and really helps with my pain.I highly recommend this product, for the cold. Haven't tried it for the heating aspect. Hope it brings people pain relief! 😉
