Cute, but doesn't explain Jewish holidays at all. It's simply a collection of "here's Sammy Spider celebrate [holiday name]" over and over with no context. If you're not Jewish, you and your child aren't going to learn anything at all. If you are Jewish, you're still going to have to explain the what, when, where, and why behind each holiday featured.

Perfect book to learn about Jewish holidays, what they mean, broken down for non Jewish readers or those new to Judaic practices.

The book has good illustrations of the major holidays but I was expecting something where Sammy was really a character in a story. Will pass it on to a child younger than my grandchildren.

Gift for my niece. Sammy the Spider is always fun.
